Dry here with the sun trying to break through at times but the radar echo is pretty impressive atm- NI is getting hammered

Yeah, the rain really has pepped up in the north. I'd say there are quite a few thunderstorms banging away there. And some pretty impressive rainfall totals too, I'd imagine. Meanwhile here in Inchicore, there has just been an unexpected downpour. unexpected in that there is nothing of significance on the radar and it seems quite local too. Lights just flickered so not sure if there was just a flash of lightning somewhere nearby.

Theres a bright yoke in the sky that hurts my eyes when I look directly at it, not sure what to make of it to be honest.

Clearance finally reached here, temperature on the rise , currently 13.6°C, warmest of the day!

Cool crisp moring after a chilly night, overnight low was 5.4°C h is amazing for July.
I see Mullingar got down to 3.6°C last night which will take some beating this month.

A sharp contrast to yesterday morning which had a good mist whilst I was going for the train following by a day of persistent rain.

The sun is out this morning in TCD.

    Hi Guys

Just signed up today, beautiful morning here not a cloud in the sky, yesterday while the East coast got the heavy rain it was a great day here with light South Westerly winds and a temp of 19 degrees and clear blue sky.

This weekend looks like a washout

Rain just arrived here, very light and undramatic. Darker clouds sliding to the west and southwest and missing here. Have to admit I am looking forward to winter more and more, at least the weather is more exciting (last winter excluded of course).
