How many episodes of bleach have been dubbed in English? Want to watch it in Jap and English.
I have watched up to 65 in English and can't seem to acquire 66 even though I can get them in Polish, French and Spanish.
    Still looking...

Last i checked they'd only gone to 65 unfortunately.

yup 65 in english and 171 in japanese with english subs.

Why watch it in both languages?
I had a quick look at a dubbed episode on youtube when it first came out and had to switch it off after a few minutes... It was almost as annoying as Naruto shouting "Believe it!" every few seconds...

    Thanks for the replies.

Watch it in two because I like the voices in English.

Know when they will do the rest?

I too prefer the english version of Bleach but i'm afraid i have no idea when they going to continue with it.

I felt like ripping my brain out in irritation hearing the English voices.

I started watching it in English and actually felt the same after i switched over to the japanese. I couldn't stand the japanese voices.

It's generally the case that I prefer anime in japanese, the only exceptions are Bleach(which I just starts a week ago), DBZ and Hellsing. If you start in one language it is hard enough to switch all right. I don't mind it in japanese atm but much prefer it in English. Plus soulreaper is better than deathgod and there are some weird differences.

so what do people think of bleach at the moment

    im undecided

it seems to be always the same story

save the girl {in this case a child)

I was really starting to enjoy it while they were in
    Heuco Mundo (sp!)
, especially the episode that revealed more of Grimmjow's past.
I must have missed the last episode of that arc, as the next thing I knew there was a piss-weak filler episode, followed by what seems to be the start of yet another filler arc:(

When they have bad episodes, they are REALLY bad. I am just at the bounts bit. 69th watched.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,093 ✭✭✭BKtje

    That's a terrible filler arc tar.aldarion :(

yeah apparently the anime is very very close to the manga so they had to stop mid arc and do a filler one or something.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,508 ✭✭✭✭Varik

when this arc ends and there restart the last one some real great stuff happens,
if not for the filler ar it would have happend around now.

That whole bounto/bounts story arc is just painful tbh. The one that comes after makes up for it...pretty much. (I didn't get to see the whole thign)

Oh goodie. I'm finding you miss a lot of the characters nuances when it is in Japanese.

It shouldn't be translated at all.

    Shinigami FTW!

Give up for now, come back at the last two minutes of episode 109. You won't miss anything.

Or, better yet, start on the manga, it is superior.

the bount arc is looking more interesting than the
arc they are on now with the princess although i hope i'm proved wrong
the bount arc got some good fights
ichigo + byakuka against karynn and zaraki against ichinose

Some great fighting baby. Up to 96 atm. Byakuya ftw.

didn't like how emotional the bounto arc was. Really I didn't care about them lol.
I actually am enjoying the current arc more light hearted and funny.

    thank you sir!

i find i get funny looks when i tell people i prefer manga.....

nothing against the anime, but i always prefer to read it than watch, hence why i'm so far behind in the storyline.

i hate reading manga online, i always wait to buy it or i feel like i'm cheating the artist somehow o.0

    definitely watch it!

i tend to feel slightly skeptical about anime that is hyped up a lot but with bleach this was blown out the window.
amazing storyline and great characters (lots of them by the way!), you'll be hooked!

oh and the music is brilliant too

I would reccommend that any prospective bleach viewer to just skip the bount arc altogether. Really is barely even watchable

Bleach is pretty good, very watchable. However, its awfully slow. Takes ages for stuff to actually happen in it. And there is another major major point in it that is really annoying but its a bit of a spoiler.
No one dies! 163 epis in and no major deaths of charachters!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 227 ✭✭/V\etalfish

I hate the American voices.. absolutely have to watch it in Japanese but in fairness I'm a nut for the whole Japanese thing.

I agree that the bount arc was sub-par but it looks like the new arc is turning out alot worse.
What annoyed me the most was the abrupt interruption of the proper stuff.

Hi all! For those of you who are looking for somewhere to stream anime www.animefever.com is where i go. It doesnt do dubbed episodes of Bleach, just subtitled ones and each ep is split into two parts (can be a pain sometimes). It has the full collection i think im up to 178 at the moment.

On a Bleach note the fillers are so annoying, just reached the action part of the series and it stopped to do a filler story!!

I'm really confused, it randomly goes from one story to another without explaining anything?
one second they are fighting in hueco mundo then they are back on earth with no explanation

well the mission was to get Orihime out of there and then go back to earth. was a bit disappointed that there was no Aizen vs. Ichigo showdown but after the beating Ichigo took against Grimmjaw it wouldn't of been much of a fight

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 60,113 Mod ✭✭✭✭Tar.Aldarion

yeah but I would have thought that they would have looked for chad who was pretty much dead, ishida and renji didn't finish the fight, so they would have run, rukia appeared dead, how did they get everybody out without running into more espada while managing to find each other and so on, Aizen would have stopped an escape. Rukia said she would go back for Ashida. Lame enough to just skip it. Maybe they had to wait for the manga?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 344 ✭✭veXual

At that point in the anime it became too close to the manga if you want answers read the next couple of chapters of the manga. The new filler arc is completely unrealated and sets off on a complete tangent disregarding the previous 40ish episodes.

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 60,113 Mod ✭✭✭✭Tar.Aldarion

And will they ever finish the previous arc of will I have to read/find the manga?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26 mankind123

They will get back to the main story after this filler as the show had caught up with the manga, this was the reason for the bount arc. This filler is set before the
    kidnapping of Inoue
and could last for the best part of a year.

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 60,113 Mod ✭✭✭✭Tar.Aldarion

Oh I thought it was after.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 773 ✭✭✭Cy_Revenant

The filler is out of synch, chronologically, with the Hueco Mundo arc. They kind of freeze that where it was, and then go off to tell this side story, which supposedly fits in somewhere before the
    kidnapping
. Which is a shame, because the manga got really good just after that point. At least you'll all have something to look forward to.

I still feel that the new filler arc doesn't really fit in properly anywhere. People are hanging around who shouldn't be hanging around, going by canon.
    Rukia and Ishida

how does ishida have that bow at that time??

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 60,113 Mod ✭✭✭✭Tar.Aldarion

Hey, now that I have caught up with all 174 in a few weeks, should I watch the two films?
Which is first and where do they fit in the timeline?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 773 ✭✭✭Cy_Revenant

The first one, Memories of Nobody? I'm not sure, came out towards the end of the bount arc. Diamond Dust Rebellion came out during the Heuco Mundo arc, I think.
