When did they start charging to wander around intern, I heard they were chargin foreigne rsfor tours, but they don't charge locals for walking round

No charge for walking around -- Its the tour of the Abbey itself costs .

Gardens are a separate charge :

In fairness cullenstown would have been a fair approximation to anyone not familiar with the area

Is that the shipwreck on the western side of Bannow Bay just up from Saltmills? I don't recognise the slipway though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,069 ✭✭✭Tzar Chasm

believe it or not that ship is technically not a 'wreck'

I presume you are thinking of the timber wreck by the bridge in saltmills, thatsnot it

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,069 ✭✭✭Tzar Chasm

    Nope, closeish, but not ballyhack

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,893 ✭✭✭allthedoyles

    Is it near Wellingtonbridge ?

Just had a look on google earth, its roughly the same distance from wellingtonbridge and ballyhack as the crow flies.

I selected that picture especially as its an angle most people wouldn't recognise, if I put up one frm the road side of the castle ye should get it straight away
