Just wondering what ages we all are ladies, I know you should never ask a lady her age but I'll be the first to take the jump and say I'm 26.

If I have just met someone they are obviously asking to jump to some conclusion or other.
So when the only purpose in asking is to be judgemental, then I think it is rude.

Its the same as when someone wants to know how many acres you own, or how much you paid for your house.
    It is crass.

I suppose, I've witnessed lots of times where my relatives would be incensed at this question by fellow relatives/friends.It strikes me as strange though sometimes. Age is just a number after all, but I understand what you mean.

    23. Up till the age of 22 I looked my age, and then I turned 23 and started getting ID'd all over the place. Clearly I have unique anti-aging properties (even though i got my first grey hair at 19 :()

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭rainbowtrout

29 - so not being stopped for ID anymore. But when I went to buy a ticket on the tube in London last year I was offered the childs fare (16)!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 659 ✭✭✭Cazlou

27 - and was ID'd last night!!!
(but was ok, was only because the guards were there so EVERYONE had to be ID'd....well that was their excuse anyway!:D)

Age is just a number, you don't feel any different just because you're a certain age, and I hope I don't act any different.

19...but alot of people think I'm older, looks-wise and personality-wise. I'm never sure how to take it when people say it to me. What do you reckon, is it a good or bad thing? I suppose it's good for attracting the older lads, which is absolutely necaessary given the immature nature of Irish boys

I'm 22 but feel a bit older cost most of my friends are older than me 23-26 bracket. can't remember the last time I got ID'd though. possibly buying alcohol in Tesco!!
