So anybody got any nice tips for today's racing?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,772 ✭✭✭jameshayes

Haven't looked at the cards yet, i'll post mine in a while - but i normally have a good day followed by a bad day so dont follow me!

has to turn at some point ! be positive !

The only one that sticks out for me so far is Silver Prelude to place in the 3:10 - I'd say he'll stay on but be bullyed near the end & hold on for 2nd or 3rd spot... He's 3.25 at the moment on betfair to place but i'd say those odds will go longer nearer the race

Alexandros in the 2:15 would be my NAP - win

I had Macarthur or Bauer in mind but again; yesterday was a good day so today will be a bad one!

/edit/ just had another look at the 2:45 - Raincoat doesn't seem to have the stamina to hold out, but i've never seen her live - just on paper

Fed up watching the bookies make money each week from mg punters, therefore going post a weekly tip here in boards starting today. It runs tomorrow and in my opinion it has the right profile for the Victoria Cup, where I picked out last years winner. The horse in question is Fishingforcompliments. This is a come from behind horse who needs a strong run race and has the correct age/weight/draw profile to go very close. Last week the horse did not settle and was eased when his chance has gone , reckon Ascot will be right up his street tomorrow with a strong pace expected. Recommend each way as the big bookies will be paying 1,2,3,4, 5. Looking forward to this being the start of something good. Later:D

I'm not thinking about nailed on winners with any selections which shall include Erlydoors in the 4.00 at Chester. Johnny Murtagh riding, 2 runs 2 seconds expected to find the front on the line soon, at 10/1 a good e/w shout or guarenteed place bet out of Stall 1 over 7 furlongs.

Ocean Blaze 5/1 Lingfield 3.10, 5 furlongs on good/firm ground is ideal for this nag. Also drawn in high box which in sprints is best at this track.

    Mike.

    Fair play! well done!

I'm sticking with Mey Blossom but I think Hadaf will hammer him!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,978 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Blah! I knew even as he was second there was nothing coming, did'nt expect last though.

I only had a 5er on my treble so nothing to write home about - that said its a tactic I must use more often. Its very low risk as accumulators go.

Review of the day - Meh! I ended pretty much where I started. Missed a great chance in the last Lingfield race, money came pouring in for Iog (?) halved in price in 10 mins, clearly the paddock punters liked what they saw. Went on to win.

    Mike.

If you guys enjoy laying - I dont think Light Hearted* will do well in the 2:10 - if you dont like laying my pick would be Great Knight* with The Lady Granua in 2nd*!

    *May not be true!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,772 ✭✭✭jameshayes

Noseda has some record here. But I think neither will win. Watch for the big upset!;)
