Guess who's back? No, it's not Slim Shady - it's me! Back from myholidays while Irish Beats was being looked after by the delectable Danny O'Dwyer .... anyway, guests on the show tonight were Willie Kelly who's new single Sligo Town is a corker and Stephen O'Regan of Balcony TV who recently celebrated their 2 millionith video view! Not a bad achievement at all! Tonight's interesting fact competition was won by Caragh from Thomastown who informed us that a 'fillip' is the technical name for snapping your fingers. It also means "one that is trivial or of little importance" - there's a joke in there somewhere, but I can't find it.

This evening's show featured the usual mix of tunes and talk, with the pride of Navan (if such a thing can exist) Simon Fagan sitting in for most of the broadcast, passing witty comments, sharing stories of his adventures with the stars and generally being downright entertaining. Tonight also marked the 13th anniversary of Rory Gallagher's passing and it would've been remiss of Irish Beats not to feature a track from one of the finest musicians this country has ever produced.

Good selection last night. That new Saving J single is quite catchy. Do they have an album out or anything?
