Sorry if asked before or if there is another reason for it but why use UK Met Office which offers very little information about Irish weather and not use our own Met Eireann forecasts?

You answered your question yourself. The UK Met Office forecast for the UK. Ireland is not in the UK so do not fall under their remit, in the same way that the Irish Met service do not generally give forecasts for the UK, apart from Ulster.

Well I personally think that the UK Met Office videos, charts, radar projection etc, show weather conditions expected over Ireland, more clearer for the long term outlook.Maybe they don't mention Eire as such,in wording or speech, but the details are visible in their forecasts. They do cover Northern Island of course, which I'm sure is important for weather followers in here from that part of the woods.

I don't get what you mean? Do you mean people want to see the UK forecast?

Fair enough but if I wanted to know the weather for Ireland I would use Met Eireann for more relevant Irish forecasts.

Was just curuios not meant as a criticism.

I'm struck that MeteoGroup are much less willing to commit to a 10 day forecast on the BBC. They'll go a week and even that's a bit tentative.
