    Two for me.

Used to be three but since I drink quite a lot of tea, the amount of sugar was adding up to about the same amount as a bottle of coke per day so I cut back.

Between 4 and 6 depending on the size of the cup.

I got laughed at on Friday night for putting three sugars in my Baileys coffee. Everything needs sugar. I have sugar in my Cocopops, and on my Frosties.

None! Can't stand even a trace of the stuff- I can tell if someone's stirred my tea using the same spoon they used to stir sugar into theirs and it angers me.

Did Karoma not issue a warning recently about these stupid (read post whore threads) polls?.

Sugar smells of mice, have a good sniff the next time you come across a mouse infestation, and then compare.

This is rather silly but I the warning was more in relation to the spate of 'have you ever taken...' threads that were being created in AH in a short period of time.

    In short: ...as you were...

Hot water, a teabag and some cow juice - it's all you need.

No thank you Turkish; I'm sweet enough.

Someone had to say that :) I actually take 1-2. I'm not too fussy bout my tea. My dad takes about 20 sugars in his tea... bit of a sweet tooth, you might say.

2 but if I've none left which happens then no problem at all, I'll go without.

Meh, I don't smoke and brush three times a day. Things could be worse.

I would be more worried about people who overload on the salt. Its amazing the amount of people who douse everything in salt. I love the way that some Chinese restaurants refuse to give salt out until asked for it.

    Sorry, way off topic :o

CRUEL. I hate that. and to stay on topic, salt and tea, not good.

I like 3-4 dependinig on the tea. It's not that i dislike the taste w/o sugar i just really really like sweet tea. mmmmmmmm! think i'll make a cup now and then off to bed.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,930 ✭✭✭✭TerrorFirmer

I would take about 3 spoons. But I don't drink tea very often, maybe once a week if even....though like connundrum, I would put sugar on any cereal. I love sugar. I could easily eat sugar in front of the tv just with a spoon....

Yeah salt is way worse. A girl my girlfriend knows actually puts salt on salt and vinegar crisps, how fcked up is that?!

On topic, wtf is up with those sachets of sugar? What size are they officially supposed to be?1 teaspoon?A half teaspoon?

0, I want to taste the tea.

    I don't drink tea.

I think Ireland is in the crux of a serious tea problem. People are overly reliant on this CNS stimulant.

Don't mind the tea business - a cup of strong black coffee NO sugar is all you need, at the start of the day, mid morning, afternoon oh yeah and about 5 between dinner and bedtime..............

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,057 ✭✭✭Wacker

None for me. I used to take 1 in coffee and none in tea. While I worked in BOI I found I needed two in both. Im not sure why - I enjoyed the job. Once I left I went back to none in tea and one in coffee. I have sinced switched to none in coffee too. I recently also gave up sugar on Weetabix.

Sweet FA for me. Ruins the lovely tea taste

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,396 ✭✭✭✭kaimera

Weaned myself off sugar a while back and been doing fine since.

Tho since starting work I tend to add one sachet to my tea in the morning.

    Still chose 0 tho :)

I completely agree. The very thought of having sugar in tea makes me nauseous.

Oh and the Tbag must be left in there for a min or 2 and not much milk mind!

    2 HEAPED spoonfulls for me.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,178 ✭✭✭kevmy

    None for me

Once when I was a kid I used to put sugar in tea and on Coco Pops and Corn Flakes. Went of it for Lent and when Lent was over decided that tea and most cereal tasted better without.

I now only put sugar on Weetabix and porridge

    0 for me.

A friend of mine has 6 spoons in a small cup! The question there would be "How much tea do you take with your sugar?"

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 28,128 ✭✭✭✭Mossy Monk

There should be an 'I don't drink Tea' option? That way we could all vote.

Foreigners drink coffee! Real Paddy's drink a nice hot cup of scald.

I take 2 spoons in my tea, no sugar.

I've weaned myself off my sugar in my morning latte and lost weight from it :D

1 sugar in the tea tho, cant be without it! (Actually I'd survive without it but I prefer it!)

Slightly off topic - I hate people lliking weak tea - Drop the teabag in the water and take it out immediately - That's not feckin real tea ye freak!

    Sorry I'm a bit hungover
