Brought a couple home to Portmarnock tonight..... a long trip!
He spent the whole journey moaning about how she'd neglected him all night and that she wasn't paying him enough attention, what a plonker!
He got out of the car at one point to buy himself a snack, he was starving the poor fellow, while he was gone she let out a scream , and said "if you read about a bloke being murdered by a petite brunette you'll know it was me!"

One post was a load about some girl who legged it on you and this is about a couple?

were is your point? were is the story? apart from trying to embarass people who paid you for your service, (minus the girl legging it but you could have got the money) what are you trying to say?

Not to dump on your writing too much but I'm sure you could make it a bit more interesting to read.

I know from just talking to taxi drivers on the spin home there are many good yarns out there.
Maybe just work on your writing style a bit more and make it more engaging rather than spilling out the facts.

No I don't mean to embarrass, although the stories are true and those concerned should recognise themselves, I change locations and details so nobody should feel embarrassed, others like the girl getting the "mindless self indulgence" tattoo, are asked if it's OK .obviously she wouldn't have agreed to the photo otherwise.

It's just a blog....... somewhere to put down my thoughts and hope it entertains??

Well I guess it's horses for courses, I get about 50 returning visitors and over 200 unique visitors, (some of whom may not have cookies enabled therefore could be returning??) each day and have just been given a paid job writing articles for a magazine.
I agree though, when I read my posts back I cringe, my excuse is most are written at 5 in the morning!

Thrid, that story really isn't any good. I can't actually see the point. Usually people come here to make a controversial statement or ask a question. You have done neither, which is why the confusion. What are people supposed to write in reply to an anecdote about a taxi driver taking a couple, who had a little spat, home for the evening.

Roy, you have on here some of the most anti-taxi people in the world. Just be thankful you weren't telling them about the €1 extra fuel surcharge the taxi drivers want, they would be seething at that news....

TAXI drivers are to approach the Taxi Regulator seeking a €1 fuel surcharge on all fares because of soaring petrol and diesel costs.


The National Taxi Drivers Union is planning to meet with other taxi and hackney organisations next week to discuss the possibility of the various unions making a group application.
