I thought my offer here was about right last week! Really thought I was in for an infraction - would have been worth it though! :pac:

What I'd love to see is a classic kev post on the matter, anyone remember when there'd be a topic of some description on going and then a random post in OTM would pop up by kev, riddled with bad grammar and subtle lunacy but always cutting edge in its satire?

I miss those posts when stuff like this happens!

I know BMW like to be a little edgey with their design, but this is defo one of the ugliest cars ive ever seen. complete oposite to the last 5 (E60) which is was actually one of their best looking.

I think the new 5 series design will be a grower, initially hated the previous models looks but have certainly grown on me as time went on!

Also after looken on the BMW website it lookes like they've droped the 2.0L petrol.
The petrol models seem to be all 6 cylinders.

Their E60 with 2l petrol engine was a bit underwhelming anyway though, not the most reliable engine when it sees 100k mark and the car seems too heavy for the engine. I have one myself but would much prefer a diesel powerplant in there, the 3L diesel is a beasty.

Aparently 2.5 will be the smallest petrol,then 3.0 and a 3.5.

The only thing is they done that same thing to the new 5 series as they did to the 3 series and thats > 335i = 3.0L twin turbo. But with the 5 series it goes : 523 = 2.5L and 528 = 3.0L

A little bit confusing when you'ed think that 335 is a 3.5 and a 523 is a 2.3.
