Yup, use irc.irishairsoft.ie, it is the same server for thegunslinger.kdouglas.net at the moment, but that could change in the future, irc.irishairsoft.ie will remain the same if it does

Nonsense, I got a we 5.1 hi-capa to work, I can get the luger to dance a jig easier than that.

I will have a perfect luger, with a nice leather holster, mmmm

just goes to show that they need fixin straight out the box i guess.

So do most things. I wouldn't dream of running any clone aeg until after stripping it down and doing the little fixes they usually need. I usually do the same to pistols too and grenades of any brand.

Anything major? Or just giving them an oiling?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,984 ✭✭✭NakedDex

Bit of oil, grease the trigger mech and the running tracks of the slide, tighten all the screw points in the slide itself. I usually add a dab of screwloc to them too as I've had a couple issues with new gbb's loosening internal screws in the past from the vibration of the slide's reaction over time.

ok initial chrono'ing does not reveal an increase in power with bb weight, I only did a rough test though, so assume as I agree with KD's theory, it will show in further testing.

Also I have a mag leak now, pfft, what is it, clutch fluid you use?

    Or grease?

    Edit: Fixed :D

Scientific serious testing now, serious business, hush now, I'm going to use science.

    Edit 2:
30 shots fired, alternating between .25, and .2, starting with .2, thus giving it a slight bias due to cool down affecting the next shot more.

2 pistols, a WE 1911, known for its hard kick, a We luger, with less kick, thus more eficiency.

Over 30 shots, cool down brought down the highest energy from 0.75 to 0.6 joules.

It was noted, that .25s had .02 more joules per pair of shots, despite being the second shot fired in a pair.

It is my belief that this is due to a slower acceleration, thus staying in the barrel slightly longer, and absorbing more kinetic energy.

    As per KD's results.

but wait! there's more! hopefully by the end of the month i'll have a very conclusive post on varying weights and across many different gbbs and aegs, my current theory is that it's primarily gas powered devices which cause this effect since the gas has alot more energy than an aeg's gearbox.

of course i'll be sure to make some pretty pictures and graphs because, let's face it, most people cant be bothered reading big long posts :)

"I concur, pi is exactly 3." Is something O1s1n seems to agree with.
