We picked up a paddling pool today to help keep Jake and Henry cool. It was rather unsuccessful. They both refused to go in, Jake just ran away and lay in the sun. Henry was somewhat coaxed in with a ball, but then promptly ran away again and tried to dry himself off a chair, the grass, some bushes and some muck, he apparently doesn't like being wet!

Pigwidgeon, we had the same craic with Rocky, bought him a pool on Sunday and could not get him to go into it, but when he was left alone with it on Monday he went into it himself and has been really glad of it in the heat. Give them time, they might love it!

Yeah that's what we're hoping. We put a few toys in it to try coax them in, jake wasn't bothered and henry just barked at them or tried to get them out without actually getting wet. They're by themselves for a few hours now so might end up going in!

Isabella is doing pretty well in the heat, I have a little bowl of ice water in there for her as well as her bottle. But she woke up earlier for a drink and was all up for a hello and a nibble on her treat stick and I got some cute photos.

She's so adorable. At least I think so. :p

This evening we took Rocky out to the green and let him off his leash for the first time. He had a ball getting a good long run around after the frisbee and even made friends with a gorgeous cocker spaniel. I wasn't sure how he would behave when let off the leash but he was super!

Put some treats in the water and watch them diving.

In recovery after todays outing... collapsed in the door  She's all better now :) Thankfully we only have a morning outing tomorrow and can lounge around the house all afternoon.

Yeah that was pretty much it. No amount of treats/toys in it could work, I even tried sitting with my feet in it and nothing. He just barked at the tots or climbed around the edges, I'll try get a video tomorrow!

Melb... I thought it funny last week when you said your identitags had 'if I'm alone I'm lost' on them (just like Hugos).

But to see cooper in your video with his paddling pool... I thought it a looked familiar sight. Hugo won't dream of going in on his own. Bit of a tight fit maybe?

Never mind the camera phone shot above... I treated herself to a Canon 1100D with 2 lenses via the 'bargain alerts' thread on Tuesday last, and it arrived yesterday...

Here's a shot from the first roll out in UL today. I think mammy has the 'nack' for this photography lark. I didn't touch it afterwards in photoshop (I'm a designer).
Not even a crop! All I did was resize it.
