When you're extended family lives so far away, you can only relate to them as much as one can. Be it with an uncle, cousin, niece or grandparent. So for me, my core family is all I have at the end of the day. Core family includes pets.

Only in recent years have I had proper pets. 3 beautiful cats (Chilli, Tubby and Yoshi), that we had taken in. Folks were never keen on pets besides a goldfish and the like when we were younger. They finally came around though.

About an hour and a half ago, I found the youngest one, Yoshi on the side of the road. He had been knocked down. My heart sank. Yoshi has been with us since last summer. Little thing, awfully cute and feckin knew it too I reckon. Very adventurous too. Bonded with Chilli straight off the bat, and acted like his shadow a lot of the time. Chilli looked after him around the house a lot of the time.

Myself and the mam (who loves all the cats now) buried Yoshi at around 1.30PM, and for someone who has not experienced much death in one's life, it was heartbreaking, and I, 24 year old lad have no problem admitting I was balling my eyes out. Both Chilli and Tubby watched on, I think both especially the former realised what had happened given how he checked over Yoshi before we buried him.

What do I achieve in writing this. I do not know. Always have spoken my mind, a lot of the times to my detriment, maybe sometimes to find solace and peace. Will I find anything through typing this here, only time will tell. Apolgises if this at all sounds corny for some, too long or whatever. Just how I feel at present. Will try and upload some more pics when I can. Only have this one on the laptop, and the USB wire for the camera is missing so will have to get a new one.

With all that said, RIP Yoshi. We'll miss you so so much.

Beautiful post Ade. If you want to post more theres a dedicated Departed Pets thread where most of us have poured our hearts out over our pets we've lost. Its very cathartic to do it so you can post stories and pics to your hearts content so you're definitely not on your own there. ;)
