Does this mean that meteor are going to start doing those stupid 'It's November' ads again. I was never so glad to see the 1st of December before in my life.

How could you like any of their ads? They are easily the most irritating thing to have been ever created in the history of the world ever.

I think it's just their stupid little jingle that pissed me off the most hence everything it touches I despise.

Yup, I heard something on the radio earlier on today advertising Christmas stuff.
I think it's just their stupid little jingle that pissed me off the most hence everything it touches I despise.

If there's one jingle I hate it's the Tesco one. Perhaps that's due to having worked there in the past. Still, it's incredibly annoying.

WHAT!, The jingle is the best part.

I can't wait for the coke ad, then you know it's really christmas

I can't wait for xmas this year, because i'm moving to Canada and there'll be SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just 2 minutes from my front door is a shop called 'hartes'.....

It's known locally as the Christmas shop & sells xmas decorations all year round - you get some good bargains in June/July!
But the carols are playing out, lights flashing, dancing snowmen - madness!

The one thing I don't like about the shop is the blackboard by the door for the Xmas countdown..... quite disconcerting when you pop in for a nosey & you see 'ONLY 351 days to Christmas!'

Same as. I don't even remember if I hated it before I worked there.

@mcR: Yes the coke christmas ads are brilliant. Does anyone else think that all the new coke ads are rubbish and that the old ones were great? Maybe I'm just getting old.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,972 ✭✭✭patrickc

my girlfriend worked in coke for the summer, and anytime you'd ring her the coke jingles were mostly old ones and ones i'd never heard.. they were all good.

i hate the xmas bud ads

No.... what it means for me is that every year when hubby brings the christmas decs up from the cellar, he always says.... 'where did all these new ones come from?'... hahaha, answers on a postcard.......!

Christmas is going to feel a bit strange this year, because we're moving over in 2 weeks - and I have no idea about Irish christmas traditions! Some serious googling is called for soon, I think!

Yes , yes i think the old coke ad was much better than the crap they have now, it was basicly the same when I was growing up and now the new one suck

I love the really old bud ad, with the horses in the snow.... is that bud? I can't remember

I don't think theirs any irish traditions in my house, all we have is we always have a big glass of cream soda and put ice cream in it and let it fizz and drink/eat!

ok - so you get up early in the morning, open pressies, spend ages cooking food & eating it.... the kitchen looks like a bomb site while you play silly games with the family & get drunk??

Cool, same as here then :o)

You need shootin for reminding me of that ad:D

Not strictly tv related but if I don't have my christmas shopping done before I hear Fairy Tale of New York on the radio for the first time (I hate that song with a passion) then I don't bother my hole, shops are always too crowded.

August and September are the best time to do it.

Am I alone in despising the An Poist Chistmas ad, I've hated that every since I was a kid. The guy who sang it must be in his 40's by now. It makes my skin crawl.
