I only have 150ish posts and I think he's pretty funny. It is a public forum but I always think it's nice that posters seems to know each other like mates and are fond of each other. It takes a little of the anonymity away but not too much of it! Is it that you think that excludes people?

Agreed. Peter, can't you see that nothing Pighead says is remotely serious? If he gives people "abuse" it's completely tongue-in-cheek.

Seriously though (I don't claim to speak for the other moderators), I think context matters when it comes to claims of 'abuse'. I cut a lot of users slack for flaming and amusing insults as long as they don't cross the line and the other person either takes it as it is intended (i.e. not too seriously); I'm a moderator, not a nanny. I would also strongly advise Pighide to carefully choose who he insults (A new user might take it seriously) - which he seems to already.
Please continue to use the Report Post function to report any abuse by Pighead and any other user. The reports are viewed by all moderators and will be acted upon fairly.

to say that i've never laughed at a comment by pighead would be a lie, but i find the whole third person thing has ran it's course, i've used it when (in)appropriate but for someone to keep doing it for 2 years, that's what gets me, it takes guts to keep with something for as long as he's been doing this, but it also takes guts to know when enough is enough.
I believe that pighead is only a persona designed to ave a bit of fun with, but eventually things become stale
