if you have edge set up but you can just leave the edge settings blank or install boss prefs so you can turn edge on and off

I need to update to 1.1.4 before I can do it, but am apprehensive to even do that as there were problems mentioned earlier in the thread about people who updated to 1.1.4 on O2 PAYG. Remember the random texts sent to a 5011 or 5091 number? Don't want my credit eaten up with that.

yeah i think i had the worst case of that out of all the posters, lost close to €15!!

i moved to billpay a few days ago, so i upgraded to 1.1.4 tonite, and then ran bootneuter as per the video (thanks for posting that btw)...takes a few nerve-wracking minutes, but it worked a treat

No problem mate.

Might wait til the next firmware release (presumably the big one in June) and just go to 1.1.4 then (temporarily), run BootNeuter and then up to v2.0.

Any ideas whats the best way of going to 1.1.4 from 1.1.3 with the 3.9BL?

sync with itunes beforehand, that will save all you contacts etc...then update to 1.1.4....then jailbreak, unlock etc with iliberty

then when you reconnect to itunes it will ask you do you want to restore your phones settings.

This one worked for me whereas isp.mymeteor.ie wouldn't.
Edge is rather slow on meteor though.


Btw guys I have ran through nearly every app thats out for the iphone right now on various sites and I ended up paying for two subscriptions for programs which I find essential and worth the cost.

One is Caterpillar and the other is iLog.

I particularly love Caterpillar as you can show ical events on the lock screen and you can also alter the privacy settings of incoming messages and also gives you a sms/ missed call reminder.

Yes you need to unlock it again

You cannot keep all of your settings well you can but it may cause problems

Actually you are better setting it up as a new phone you can re sync the phone to get all of your contacts but you lose texts etc

Presume you have tried the obvious things like rebooting the phone etc

You could just restore the phone via itunes see if that fixes it

there is an issue with some phone screens but usually that is the bottom of the screen and you cannot slide the unlock

There is another program that does this too which is free.. not sure the name but you'll find it in the native apps sections on modmyifone.com. I just like how this app does them all in one without having to run multiple apps and clutter the desktop etc. I think that they might as in the past they seemed to have been taking ideas from 3rd party apps to perhaps make people move away from them.

What I would love is for them to change the sms program to run like SMSd where you have inbox, draft etc and then a conversations mode just like we have now but the ability to choose which one we want to view.

you'll see the option in iTunes after you upgrade to 1.1.4

Just for info, I upgraded to 1.1.4 last nite, and restored my old setting, got all my sms's, call history etc back. No problems yet anyway

that's pretty disappointing, someone needs to make it into an app like delicious library on OSX and not rely on sending emails, the info should be passed back and forth without filling up your inbox.

how do i get rid of a application in the uninstall in the install app if it needs to be reinstalled but when i try install it it just wont and i cant delete it

Yeh, £169

There's none left on CPW and O2 online.

Here in London, a colleague went for one at CPW instore this afternoon, and got the 2nd last one.

So, i dunno. If you're verrrry lucky maybe some obscure store up North will have one left on Sunday. Doubt it though

I'd only consider eBay if looking for a second hand Iphone. Makes no sense to buy a new one on eBay. How can any seller charge less than the shops?
