    Where did you take them?
    Are they the Blue Angels?
Like the F-22/P-51/F-16. Got a similar shot myself recently

Do you know, by any chance, who are those lads and what are they flying? I've been in Victoria, BC recently and they appeared out of nowhere doing a pass or two over the harbour and were gone again...
Got a picture or two, but very bad.

Looks like they could be the Canadian Forces Snowbirds flying CT-114 Tutors.

    What camera did you get?

good old 88ZL, lovely example of the 707, it lived in shannon for ages not so long ago

Alot of work going on at the terminal I see

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,295 ✭✭✭SniperSight

    Its a canon EOS 1000D.
Yup, taht 707 wasn't a bad start for the camera:)

Lovely pics - 3rd last is really good.

Great to see the 707 - used to be one of the stapple diet list when I did my stint of plane spotting in the 80s. I'd say it sounded fantastic taking off?

Another fantastic plane for take off was the BAC 111.

Same camera myself! Experiment with the settings is the best advice I can give...but its a great camera

One tip I would suggest is to use a slower shutter speed (1/250 or less) for prop or helicopter types, so as to avoid "freezing" the rotation of the props/rotors. This is from a scanned slide but you can see the benefit of not using too fast a shutter speed:

Heres a link to my pics from the Smithsonian Udvar-Hazy Museum in Washington DC.

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/tearbringer/sets/72157622327491171/

Highlights have to be the SR-71, the Enterprise, F-35B, WWI aircraft and the German WWII aircraft.

I doubt this very much. The bird is much closer to you than your eye leads you to believe.
