Is it known who this is : idreamofjenna ?

Haven't really being paying attention to the highstakes games recently but went to have a look on www.highstakes.nu after i seen this thread as i had never heard of this player. He/she seems to be killing the highstakes games recently.

    Like this :)
Everyone on the rail was hoping this game would last for a couple of hours longer but IDreamOfJenna wrote on the chat that he had to go to school tomorrow and after he lost that last hand he directly wrote "GG" and left the table with a $320k profit.

IDreamOfJenna was very active today on Full Tilt Poker after taking Patrik Antonius for a lot of money yesterday. First he played against Brian “Sbrugby” Townsend and ended the session roughly even (possibly Brian was up a little). But before the session ended, IDreamOfJenna through in a little smack talk:

sbrugby: you do realize every bluff you have shown
you have had the best hand
    IDreamOfJenna: yeah
IDreamOfJenna: do you realise that you are lonely
    IDreamOfJenna: lonely little idiot
    sbrugby: haha
    sbrugby: lets play 2 tables

Shortly after, Tom “durrrr” Dwan sat down and ended up the session up approximately $250K of IDreamOfJenna’s money. Their session concluded with the following hand:

    Full Tilt Poker Game #2424376868: Table Halbert (heads up) - $300/$600 - No Limit Hold’em - 16:27:35 ET - 2007/05/14
    Seat 1: durrrr ($112,096)
    Seat 2: IDreamOfJenna ($246,830)
IDreamOfJenna posts the small blind of $300
durrrr posts the big blind of $600
The button is in seat #2
    *** HOLE CARDS ***
    IDreamOfJenna raises to $1,800
    durrrr raises to $6,200
    IDreamOfJenna calls $4,400
    *** FLOP *** [Js 6s 8d]
    durrrr bets $8,600
    IDreamOfJenna calls $8,600
    *** TURN *** [Js 6s 8d] [Kh]
    durrrr bets $24,600
    IDreamOfJenna calls $24,600
    *** RIVER *** [Js 6s 8d Kh] [5s]
durrrr bets $72,696, and is all in
    IDreamOfJenna calls $72,696
    *** SHOW DOWN ***
durrrr shows [Ks Qc] (a pair of Kings)
    IDreamOfJenna mucks
durrrr wins the pot ($224,191.50) with a pair of Kings
    *** SUMMARY ***
    Total pot $224,192 | Rake $0.50
    Board: [Js 6s 8d Kh 5s]
Seat 1: durrrr (big blind) collected ($224,191.50)

Don't want to drag this thread off in this direction, but if you don't like these threads or their contents don't bleet about it, just close the thread and you can move onto one that is worthy of your attention..

These forums are great in that you can have hundreds of topics/threads - everyone does not have to agree/like every one of them!

The rest of us humble pe0ns will sit here and check out what the high stakes players do/did - and read about extreme stuff like this - and enjoy it, if its ok with you :)

Don't want to drag this thread off in this direction, but if you don't like these threads or their contents don't bleet about it,

posts in threads in the poker forum that discuss the relevance of said threads are actually quite useful and I'm sure help the mods with their jobs. Therefore we actually should bleet about it.
These forums are great in that you can have hundreds of topics/threads - everyone does not have to agree/like every one of them!

True but not every thread can be on the first or second page at one time. Surely it makes sense to try and ensure that the most contentful threads get precidense.

Threads like these are pointless and make me sad.

The reason these threads are good on 2+2 is because people post lots of hands histories where hundreds of thousands of $$ change hands. There's not much of that here so this'll prob be closed soon enough.

    pok3rplaya wrote:

I'm not sure if you're referring to the actual thread of discussing the nose bleed games and how they are going, or threads discussing what should and shouldn't be discussed.

I'm fine with both, although certainly alot less in the case of the latter, as what does and doesn't constitute a relevant poker forum thread is pretty easy to spot. I think Marq's post basically summed the whole thing up, we certainly don't need 2 threads on the topic.

For the former, there's loads of other, IMO, pointless threads that I just don't read. I don't feel the need to go posting in them. This is obviously relevant to the Poker forum, and as such I have 0 problem letting this one go, I'm sure I'm not the only one who quite enjoys reading about PA/durrr/aba's latest exploits or the latest hot sh1t flying up the ladder and giving these guys a run for their money, and winning and losing hundreds of thousands in a day a la IDreamofJenna.

the solution to that problem is hardly to go post up crap threads about highstakes games. "omg sbrugby just won a 100k pot" bfd.

I think in general posters should be aware that boards is effectively a poker forum for the masses. It is not restricted to High Content 3 betting strategys etc etc... With this in mind I think it is important to remember that different people take different thigs from this place.. Personally I like a bit of banter about what happens in town on the live scene along with some interesting HH's. Other people want to know how to deal with donk bets and look for an effective 3bet strategy, others want to talk about the high stakes action on Full Tilt.

If im being honest 3bet strategys dont do it for me, that said i read the threads with interest. Im sure HH's dont do it for others, and id also reckon that the Cork contributors dont care for details of what happened in the SE last night any more than I care about who the last person to be barred from the macau is.

My point here is - poker is a game for the masses, with many aspects to it. In simple terms its different strokes for different folks and I think we should respect other peoples privileges to post/write about the aspects of poker which interest them the most. If we dont like it, we dont have to engage or read it. If it is unsuitable, Im sure the mods will deem it so - its not our place to judge.

We are lucky to have a very good set of moderators here, they are not heavy handed. They are fair and open to approach. To that end rather than derailing a thread with "This content doesnt really bother me - please take it to the BB/sticky where I will find it less offensive" - keep it simple and press the report button and let the mods decide.

We are all on different levels here - we should respect the level that those other than ourselves are at.

    that is all.

    Well said :)

These are my thoughts exactly BCB, I don't think anyone should be telling others what aspects of Poker they are and aren't allowed to discuss.

As with every poster they come here for different reasons, and seriously just don't open threads you're not interested in, I do it all the time and I don't see why others can't do the same, unfortunately now I have to read more of the threads that in the past I just ignored :(...

EDIT: Also having one thread like this should stop more threads of a similar ilk popping up in the future, if there is we can just merge them together...

the solution to that problem is hardly to go post up crap threads about highstakes games. "omg sbrugby just won a 100k pot" bfd.

yes and ive been telling everybody it was the solution

No need for a sticky, we have enough of those feckers already. :) I'll change the title and if the thread lives then fine.
