erm...i don't think you need to be an expert on parenting to come to the conclusion that going out for dinner and leaving your 3 young children in a ground floor apartment alone as poor parenting.

Leaving three babies alone in a room while you go off for dinner is not a mistake though, it's parenting at it's worst.

I hear on the news this afternoon that police are now sifting through dozens of emails form, wait for it ...... clairvoyants! And they're hoping that one of the mails will be from the kidnappers. Time to face facts. That girl is long gone, if she was alive when the first media reports came out, she wouldn't have stayed that way for long.

My god, what a sick group of people on this website, very concerning to see the amount of sadistic, down right nasty people here who find the abduction of a small child amusing and something to make a joke of and have the cheek to begruge the poor child of the media coverage to help find her. Fair played to her family for making sure her face stays in the limelight, getting physics over anything to find her. Who cares what they do as long as it helps find the poor little child who must be distraught.

Anyone that has posted a positive message on this thread since it began, including myself, have been insulted, accused of being unstable and unrealistic etc yet the majority of you find it funny when someone laughs at the investigation or her parents.

This discussion board is sick, really has to be the most disgusting stuff I have ever read. Anyone that has come on to show sympathy/support/concern to Madeline McCann and her family has been sniggered at, but fair played to you who posted genuine posts and were objective about certain things. I might not be into the McCanns religious efforts as it's not my thing, but I respect they will try anything to get their child back.

I also notice there has been no mods on this thread to stop some of the horrible comments, yet I have seen you ban people for slagging off Star Trek...hello????.

Don't bother ridiculing me after I post this, Mossy Monk & your cronies, coz I won't be reading this thread EVER again. So, you won't be offending me, then again you might have a bit of craic slagging me off because of my concern for a missing child. What is sad is the hype that this whole thing has gotten, the bebo pages, the trips around Europe. I find it ironic that you call me a bandwagon jumper. Everyone who disagrees with you is not immature, it is called a differing of opinion. If anyone needs a life it is you buddy.

Anyone else who thinks the parents are putting on a good show of caring individuals despite the fact they left 3 toddlers on their own in a foreign country?????? I seriously think they are guilty of neglect in this case. They were stuck for €5 for a baby sitter or a night out if they would do that......

I hope the child is found safe and well but the parents are starting to stick in my gut. If they were not a white, middle class family there would not be so much attention.

Well Look whatever about what the parents did which was wrong they will have to live with the guilt for the rest of their Lives. So I think that is punishment enough for them. So the Parents are in Madrid today and I think they will travel to Germany and the netherlands, although I think they really need to get down to Morroco as if she has moved from Portugal thats where she could be.

It's nothing to do with class. She was an English girl, taken in a foreign country and covered by English tabloid news in what can only be called a slow summer for news.
