Nice one Paul. Half a blind, ha...sick game. How did Masters do? How much for 1st?

    Cheers Eoghan!

He was out of the JP tournament fairly early I think.

I'm think he was playing some online 25k guaranteed then?

I think I heard that he came 4th in that. (don't quote me though).

    I got €4750 for 1st.

    :)

this was a great tournament with professional dealers, a good structure, and a nice venue.

But when I've paid €35 registration and been promised "dinner", I expect dinner. Cocktail sausages and a few chicken legs just don't cut it. I would play this again if "dinner" resembled a cooked meal in any way.

My luckbox was turned off for the whole tourney. It was ridonkulous.

Congrats to the rigger who made a great comeback from the chip and chair scene. I was impressed by your play and aggression at the final 2 tables. I was disapointed with my own play at the FT but cant say much after the way i started the tournament.

I also have to apologise for all the blind allin nonsense at the start of the tournament when i knocked out Martin and jbravado. Quiet the comedown today after 40 poker filled sleepless nights.

Also as marq said i was very impressed with the tournie in general. A very enjoyable day. Now if only there was some wheel action...

But a FT appearance obviously shows the innate abillity of professional roulette players to adapt to different games.

Well done to Paul on a tasty score. And Dave for a good finish also.

Small profit for the day! Spinning no good. Sikcest run ever. Sammy would cover half the wheel and it would land on the number right before our half started else it would land in between the 2 we'd lumped money onto. Lol.

I abandoned him -200. He went onto -7 and was trying to get me back in at 6this morning.

    Hi Marq,

I can only apologize about the dinner. I have always had dinners at these events. There were a number of complaints at last week's game about the dinner and players requested that I order platters of sandwiches, ect, instead as the dinner was that bad.

I had brought this matter to the hotels attention on both Thursday and Friday and requested that the players be allowed to have their choice of a carvery dinner across the way in the Red Cow Inn. I was not given an alternative choice and so I was left with my only option which was to order the platters.

I will be speaking to the hotel again about the dinner situation before we are back there on the 3rd June to arrange something different.

I hope this is some way explains the situation.

to be honest I don't mind if dinner is not provided, what annoyed me was that dinner was advertised, and when it came to dinner time, myself and Paul ended up going into the bar and ordering food, which puts added costs on to the day.
It's a small complaint in an otherwise excellent tourney. I hope to see you on the third for the next deepstacked donkament.

Played in this yesterday and thought it was excellent.

Also it was great to find the tournament report to see what happened after I left.

A comment for you jp... a few people mentioned during play that they had only heard about the tournament or seen it on boards.ie by accident. Maybe it would be worthwhile to keep your own site up to date to get a few more punters through the door.

    Thanks again.

Cheers, it was fun playing on the same table as you, we barely played a pot togther, which was fine by me. I thought you played very well, and especially considering you had been on the go 40 hours :p.

Aside from the issue Marq mentioned, which JP is seeking to solve, I thought this was a very well run tournament, JP runs a tight ship.

All the JP poker staff were great to deal with. The tournament structure left play throughout, and more flops, turns and rivers at the late stages than you would normally get.

Also, the tables were always balanced quickly and efficiently, allowing the players to concentrate fully on the game.

Also, a special mention to Ianmc for adding 215e to the prizepool

Made the trip yesterday morning to try an sat my way into this, managed to get one of the 2 tickets on the sat; decided that a shower was in order so headed off home and came back with 5 minutes left in the first level; Was very very card dead for the first while, up until the break actually were stack was down to 5k, then managed to chip upwards quite productively until the next break stack at 25ish.

Just before we got down to 3 table's and with 28k in front made a bad play on the flop with AKs and managed not to push just holding onto 10k. Got the stack right back up to 30k, with a KQc push Vs JJ on an all club flop. A few hands later got it all in again with JJ Vs A9 on a 986r flop. Thought I was in a lot of trouble when he called so quick but was happy to see the A9. And as they say the rest was the river.....19th place

Good tournament as usual from JP.

Well done once again to JP and Co. for another superbly run tournament. Personally I thought the food was ok on each of the two occasions it was introduced.

Duke Box....(LUCK BOX)......(K3..how are ya!) lmao in hindsight...only joking..

Serously well played to all at final table and espeically to Paul on a great recovery.
