nothing about it on sky news, strangely enough.

Its a private company.I dont think they want to wreck the owners image as it wasnt really his fault.

I hope the judge doubles the scumbags sentence for leaving the scene of an accident. Macedonia is one of the last places I'd like to do time.

Would he have to do it there or can he do it in uk?

Nah i wouldnt agree with that, you dont have that much money so you wouldnt.:)

Not everyone goes for the speed, its really for the fun and lavish parties etc. There are afew muppets everywhere

Even if it wasn't about speed and all that ...

I can't drive properly the day after ONE lavish party ...never mind several in a row.

But the real problem is ...I can't party lavishly after driving all day :D:D:D

I think that is a dreadful attitude and I don't know did you mean to act in defense of these two but you should be ashamed...

You need to seriously get off your fucking high horse. I was simply stating the facts here.

    Now piss off.

you should watch the way you speak to other people.

anyway, im not surprised that it was brits that were involved. after watching gumball dvd's and the tv series its always the guys from the uk that are in trouble and acting like idiots. they are the worst for showing off. the americans that take part are quiet in comparison.

I think thats unfair, I dont think your nationality has much to do with it? Its more the mentality of each person.

Plus alot of the footage you would have seen would have been UK based, so they would have followed "crazy" brits.

the guy that won the moroco gumball was german. can you imagine the speeds you would need to be doing to come first. as stated already, its mainly the crazy people that get seen, why video somebody rolling along at 80 when people are going 200? wouldnt make for great footage.
And if you look at the latest gumball video, theres alot of stupid americans on that.

And i dont think Anti was defending what they did and he shouldnt feel ashamed for what he said as he stated a fact, the car didnt look like it had been in a 200kph crash

I also heard there were other accidents
911Turbo, Ford GT & a Porsche CGT were the three big cars in 3 big accidents - the 911T being the one involved in the fatality.

Ah I'm sure it will buff out.:D

This was probably the worst gumball crash. The escort cosworth owner skids off and flips multiple times. Apparently he broke one of his vertebrae.

Interestingly enough the guys in the ferrari at the start of the clip crash later in the rally:rolleyes:

Yeah i watched that video before.the way to part take in the gumball is to enjoy it.Not drive dangerously, as these cars are too powerful.
What do you get for winning the gumball

True but in Germany you'd be travelling 200kph every day on your way to work. The rich in London spend more time in those Ferraris stopped at traffic lights posing as far as I can tell!

They were let out on bail but supposedly Nick tried to flee the country by private jet. Although the source on this is Wikipedia, so it could be untrue.

If its true, I hope he gets whats coming to him. Mouldy soap bars on the ground in crumbling Macedonian jail showers comes to mind...

    Hes also really funny:D

Hes also a feckin scumbag. He was sent to jail for a few months for a really poorly thought out pump and dump share scheme.

He is about dodgey as they come. I remember watching a video from one of the previous gumballs where he in effect said he doesn't care if he takes chances on the road , if he crashes its just bad luck. Some asked him about other people on the road and he said something to the effect of "it would probably their time".

(Trying to find the video but it seems to be taken down.)

So do you guys think there will be a gumball 2008? Whats your opinions

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,579 ✭✭✭junkyard

I'd say it will go underground and we'll only hear about it when its all over. It will probably be held in underdeveloped countries where the Police can be bought, it's probably its only hope tbh.

Yes i would agree with you there about the undeveloped countries as it seems like european countries will try to stop these type of rallies now, mainly after what happened.Poor Max ( the guy who owns it) as just because of 1 idiot his business if ****ed.
