Secondhand '97 - 00'ish dependant on car v's budget <€10k. Which would would you choose if economy and engine weren't really that relevant, but reliability and enjoyability were? Any personal experiences on any of these three?

Others could call that comfortable. I've been a passenger in a W210 E 200K on a long day trip in this country - the same trip I have driven myself in the 7-series several times. Now my car is stiffened and lowered, but I reckon being a passenger in a W210 is more comfortable than being a passenger in a standard E38 7-series

Having said that, I agree with you. I'd much prefer to drive the BMW myself
