There was an Ancient Greek god of medicine, which the Celts, being originally from Central Europe, would have heard of previously, called Asclepius.
Druids were shamans, and used a lot of herbal remedies to heal people, as well as their religious functions and their supposed ability to foretell the future.

There's an old legend associated with Glendalough; St. Kevin had a great struggle to banish the peiste (worm/snake/serpent beastie) from the upper lake, and afterwards had to remain on guard in a little cave there called St. Kevins Bed, to prevent its return.
The Druids meanwhile, had spots at deep pools and lakes which they liked to throw corpses and weaponry into, as sacrifices, believing these places to be portals to the underworld. So its quite likely a culture clash did occur there, once upon a time.

I was playing Akinator on my phone, and decided to choose Jesus for him to guess. At about question 17, he asked "Is your character the son of a god?", so for a laugh, I said no.

Three questions later, Akinator had to guess who I was thinking of:

^^ I find it hard to believe those are both real quotes. The second one I suspect is contrived.

    Here's the Dennis Terry speech.

Possibly. The point is more about the language used by the American guy and how close he sounds to those he opposes.

There really was a lot of hand-wringing over this guy.

Delighted for him and his family that he's recovering but those 100-grand-a-week footballers thanking God for his recovery just makes me shake my head.

Amen, I agree with the poster. It is his and his families faith in Jesus that has seen him healed so quickly. God is great.

Nothing at all to do with the medical personnel, equipment, training or the medicine. All of which came about through science and engineering. No need for all that. T'was the prayers that did it.

It's amazing that he is alive again. Muamba was dead for 78 mins. Unbelievable.
