How's it work? I've heard it's gonna be way bigger then the Fitz rake?

Also I've never played at the Fitz. How does it work there?

    thanks

In the Fitz I believe the rake schedule is

    €80 p/hr taken on 1/2 plhe

    €150 p/hr taken on 2/5.

Expect it to be a fair bit higher at the burlo.

Rake's taken out of each pot and capped at €5(? i think), averages out to 7.50 per seat per hour I think at the fitz. So €75 an hour since it's FR.

That's for 1/2, I'd expect it to be higher for other limits.

It was 25psph at the regency during the ept at 5/10+ or something crazy like that, ie €250 taken off the table every hour!

I was going to start this thread. the rake last year was 16 euro per person per hour at 1/2 at the IO. Twice that for 2/5.

The fitz is €7.50 per player per hour, so €80 on 50 holdem, €68 on 50 Omaha.

For the 100 game it is €11 p/h p/p, so €100 per hour.

Yeah its a tough rake to beat, but the stacks are usually very deep compared to the blinds. I would hesitantly say you couldnt make a living playing it, but plenty of people do, so I dunno.

and then there's tips on top of that.

    What a load of sh1te!

Anyone reckon the SE or fitz will get any bigger games going this weekend as a result of the IO?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,327 ✭✭✭hotspur

I played 2/5 at the IO last year and while we were laughing at the rake the fact was that there were a bunch of bad poker players playing so it was a very profitable game, and I'm sure it will be this year too...what with donkament players not actually knowing how to play poker and whatnot ;)

nah all the action will be at the IO. The games were good last year, but the rake was sickening. i had to tell the dealer to put some money back into one of my pots when she tried to rake 10 from a 55 pot. i just said ah ah ah. you can put 5 euro back in there. you must be mad if you think you're raking 20% of that pot.

Lol. When you have Dave Masters playing a no limit cash game, its hard not to leave in profit!

the rake this year is considerably lower - 1/2 NLHE was 8ppph. as was the 2/5 afaik

I played 1/2 plhe whilst sober and the rake seemed in line with the above.

I played 5/5 nlhe with "drink on board" and the rake was 144 per hour for the table which seems in line with the above - i did "question" the dealer at one stage and pointed out that if he was to continue along his current line he should offer vaseline tot he table - at this point he seemed to reign in his rake.

Finally - the game is beatable, plenty o fish out there.

    good luck today Shane.
but I wouldn't call any game with Donnacha O'Dea sitting at the table soft.

maybe you're just kidding, but don't get over confident.

there'll be plenty of action in the Fitz this weekend, busy as hell last night.

thats where I'll be to play cash, not lining up to get ass raked.

...then I'll drop it all in the omaha tourney on Sunday!

You're bankroll is probably a bit bigger than my bankroll. I'm still working on growing mine.
