Yep... that's really rare in International cricket. He stood on his own wicket.

    Class!
From the BBC website text commentary:
"The leprechauns et al are, not to put too fine a point on it, tanked up but they keep going with some pretty nifty footwork whenever the DJ spins away. This is impressive stuff. I thought the Barmy Army were good - but this lot are world-beaters."

Ruggie's given the temporary all clear.

If you join www.cricket4ever.com you have the option of purchasing streaming for the whole world cup or individual matches.

They also post highlights after each match for download via rapidshare and megaupload.

Ruggie, feel free to delete if it turns out to be a problem. I'm watching on NTL myself :)

C'mon Ireland! Rattle through the tail and hopefully there'll be some decent highlights at the end of the 9 o'clock news!

Get these two out, and the rest of hutch's averages are all less than 10....

Jees the punters are cagey....Ireland are favs for my money now, but they're 2.3 vs 1.7 on BF

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,870 ✭✭✭mikeruurds

The game is literally balanced on a knife edge now. Two more wickets and Zim are toast.

Rankin is getting blasted by Matsikenyeri... he has to go soon.

Got to get them first. I remember the 2004 Champions Trophy final where England had West Indies on a skewer, yet...

I have the price movements on the lappy while watching this. The market is most definitely keen on Zimbabwe.

its turning to be a competition of the nerves

the team who holds its nerves will take the game.

Ireland need to contain the line and length and try to contain the boundaries and restrict them to singles

i think bowling a tidy line from wicket to wicket should be the idea and now to give them any width to swing arms

I hope that there are at least two Irish bowlers that still have overs in hand and that can consistently bowl yorkers preferably with a little late reverse swing.

Is that too much to expect?

i think yes thats whats required

yorkers are the ones which can be the cause of the distruction of the tail end.But u know wrong length yorker can be hooked to 6 as a full toss

I dont know how good their ability to ball yorkers is but its definately not a bad idea provided that they can do it

    Tippin away from us now......

I would say going on previous results, if this goes to the last 5 overs, they won't be able to contain. A yorker is more often than not a lucky full toss.

I wonder if Lance Klusener could qualify to play for Ireland... j/k.

That man can bowl quick in-swinging yorkers at will with a deceptive change of pace. He's not a bad batsman either.
