im in for this. the xmas game was a great structure with some terrible terrible players. one of the most annoying things they would do was pretty much everyone at the table would limp in and then then the BB would min raise.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,858 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

If I can I will probably play this too, looks like good bang for your buck and I have never played one of your games but have only heard good things.

    Hi Jeff,

This is still on in the Red Cow Hotel for this month but will be moving to a new venue from next month on due to a conflict of interest.

Working on a new venue at the moment for our future deepstacked games. Will keep you posted.

    Hi Deadparrot,

Yes i was due to start in The Spa Hotel in Lucan tonight, but i have had to cancel it for the next 2 weeks as the general manager is away on holidays and the duty manager has told me that the game would have to end by 12 midnight.

I was given until 2am from the GM but no point in starting until he returns, which i believe is the 1st March.

    Will keep you posted.

    Hi Lazare,

The number of entrants will only be capped by the number of dealers i have on the day. Currently 12 have comfirmed that they will work this Sunday i'm waiting to hear back from another 3 today.

So at the moment 120 players. Possibly 150.

There are one or two known dealers playing on Sunday and if we're stuck i may be able to convince them to deal their own tables for an hour or so.

As appreciation for the loyalty and support that everyone has shown me over the last year and half and to help the official launch of my monthly deepstack game, I will be holding a free raffle. :)

    Prizes will be as follows:

    1st Place
One full year free buyin to my monthly deepstack game.

    2nd Place
6 months free buyin to my monthly deepstack game.

    3rd Place
3 months free buyin to my monthly deepstack game.

In order to qualify for this free raffle, you need to complete a raffle form at any of my tournaments starting from this Sunday, 25th February, in The Red Cow Hotel until Sunday, 25th March, in the Green Isle Hotel (this will be our next deepstack game).

The draw will take place on Sunday 25th March in the Green Isle Hotel. You must be present on the day of the draw to collect your prize. If your name is drawn and you are not present you will win one free month. This will only apply to the first three people drawn.

    Only one form per person.

    Have you 120 already registered?

If so,can you put my name down?

I can transfer funds into your tribecca account if that will do.

edit: I've just realised you meant 12 dealers = 120 players. Anyway, how many are registered? Will I be safe coming down close to the off?

About 40 players with tickets at the moment. I'd suggest that you get their early. To be honest with the league cup final i would guess around 100-120 players

    Hey Jeff,

Get there early and you should be fine:)

great tourny jp. as far as i know there were 3 levels replayed to keep the game as playable as possible for players, very accomodating. well done to jp and all the staff. really enjoyed this tourney and trying to work out what 5pin5 was up to was also good fun (and he completely destroyed me in a hand half way through... )

tacker, your K10 hand against the guy with the flush draw was very unlucky, made worse by the fact that he said he put you on a house with AK, was a terrible call by him. unlucky.

results that i know of; carl (boba_fett) was 9th, eamonn (5pin5) was 8th, i took 3rd, and will (beamo) was heads up with guy who was chip leader starting the final table when i left. the prize money was changed a bit 3 handed to 1st, 4k. 2nd 3k. 3rd, 2k.

Sorry about the delay in posting this i been moving tables all morning.

First i would like to thank all the players (all 115 of you) who turned up for this event, and thanks to all the dealers for a job well done.

Well Done Jeff , Nice Result Man

I did not have the discipline or the patience for the tourney even though after playing the xmas game i knew what crowd we were up against.

Extremely frustrating watching some of the hands that were going on around me, i was begging for aces or a set.

Favourite hand of the night was blinds at 300/600 i open push utg with AK for 5100, folded around to the bb who has 7900 in chips and calls like a light declaring its the best hes seen in 90 mins, He proudly turns over K10 spades and its off to the flop we go.

Flop brings q 10 rag followed by a fist pump from my opponent.
    Turn Rag
River Jack and i have the nuts.
He goes to rake the pot before he is told i had a straight by about 3 people the only 3 on the table who copped it ( and one was the dealer )
he then demands the dealer turns back over the board before staring at it for about 15 seconds , turning around to me and sayin you lucky lucky boy , that was some stroke of luck there son. i was doin kartwheels laughing on the inside and just agreed saying yes i am a lucky boy. The dealer felt it upon himself to have a go at my opponent asking was he serious and expained he hit one of 3 outs to take the lead in the hand. To which he replied still a lucky boy though.

BRILLIANT!! MONKEY POKER AT ITS BEST!!!!!!!!!
