It's complicated Joe, but not really any need for you to worry - essentially the way the legislation will work is:
Mystery punter walks into bookies with 10K cash to bet with - bookie says feck off.
Known punter walks in with 10k cash, bookie says, certainly, but i'm going to need your docs - punter supplies them - no problem, although the bookie may report the cash bet to the group (if applicable) money laundering officer, who then decides whether or not to alert the guards - it just means that the handiest way forward will be betting on account - ie the cash sources of bets are readily identifiable etc.
