Tayto TV ad slogan. Get familiar with it ;)

So could you just open a pack of Tayo - let them go a bit stale and post it off with a well-worded letter saying they were stale when you opened them and expect a free box?

Probably not. Again might get a voucher. It depends a lot on the case.

In your example it may work once. But the company puts your name on file. They also check the serial number of packet and audit the whole box (they can tell exactly where it is) and some boxes would of had a QC check on them.

Yeah tayto is closed now and cabury's is still there thriving
Cadbury's just laid off about 450 people. They are clearly about to bring in cheap Oompa Loompa labour.

I'm sure I once read somewhere that the average bar of chocolate contains at least 5 insect legs.

Ya im sick of them cheaping out in the insect legs as well

My cousin is an insurance broker who insures Tayto. They can barely get covered and so their premiums are huge. Allegedly, the Tayto Castle has some of the biggest, and presumably most well fed, rats in Ireland.

Hahaha, that's deadly if true. I bet the yellow guy with the monocle lives there

[Edit]: not the KP peanuts guy with monocle and hat, though! He can piss right off.

This one time I found a live beetle in a pack of Rancheros and I sent it back to the company and they sent me 1,000 euro and like 2 free packs of Rancheros for returning their Mascot Beetle to them alive and well. They said they'd been worried sick

    True story.

that's the crappy nordie taytos. they dont deserve the name.

A while back my sister and her friend decided to write a letter to cadburys with their non writing hands so it would look childish and asked could they make spagetti bolognaise lfavoured bars or something equally daft. anyway cadburys sent them out chocolate. i think she was 12 at the time.

Wait until they see the writing on the envelope I sent
I have very childish writing, although the letter itself was typed, and the shop where I bought it from was within an IT

Jizzlord - Can't help but notice your location(s) are the same as mine, are you following me for my green Buckfast?!

    It's on the cards though.

    It's on the cards though.

It is, but for all of the right reasons. It'll be done over a few years and most of the redundancies will be voluntary and natural wastage anyway

I have done this three times,

Firstly I got a pack of Salt & Vinegar which was all black spots and Tayto sent me a Pocket Game which was on promotion with them for free.

The Second Time I got a packet of Mighty Munch with what appeared to Rat Faeces in the Bag, (Believe me I didn't eat them) I sent it back with crisps and packet & receipt, About two weeks later I received an apoligetic letter and €22 worth of postal orders in denominations of €5 x 4 and €2 x 1.

The third Time I got a 6 pack of Mighty munch and they were all unsealed so I complained and got back a €5 postal order.

I checked my mail today (Mail just goes as far as the main office, up to me to collect it) and a letter from Tayto was there.

An apology, stating that it was an 'isolated' incident and that the Quality Control is very strict at Tayto.

Oh, and a €5 Dunnes Stores (Random?!) voucher!

    I'm happy :)

When I was 10 or so I bought a Dairy Milk and a Golden Crisp. I switched the wrappers and said my dairy milk contained golden crisp-ey bits, whilst there was a distinct lack of crispy bits in my golden crisp. I sent them both back in the same envelope, along with a letter explaining my ridiculously unplausible situation.

Even though it was obviously a scam, they sent me out a few big bars of dairy milk a few weeks later. Can't believe they didn't tell me to politely **** off

I would have sooo preferred if there was a big box of Tayto waiting for me, but alas, just a voucher :(

Oh well, probably better for the heart, im gonna go buy beer with this voucher

I complained to Aer Lingus once because I had a 13 hour delay. They send me a voucher for $75. :p
