Britney Spears breaks her record for marriage length.

Its been a long two years, but I have to say I'm proud of Britney for shattering her previous two day marriage with this long-winded espousal. People may have doubted her commitment when she said her vows for the second time, almost 26 months ago in September 2004, but she certainly showed that she is a woman who does not take commitment lightly and certainly has what it takes to prove her doubters wrong. Having celebrated both her paper and cotton anniversaries she has done all her fans proud, and has two beautiful kids to show for it.

You go girl, maybe next time you might reach your wooden anniversary!

I still think her marriage to George Costanza could have worked out if she'd given it a chance.

What I don't understand is why she stayed so long, when her first husband seemed so much more likeable.

I think that Federline fella was supposed to have been a twat. I supose it's for the best.

I always got the impression she wanted to have babies, and pretty sharp. I think she just tolerated him being such an idiot til she got son no. 2... after all it is only 8 weeks since she gave birth to him! She now has her kids and she seemed happy enough with her situation in the tv clip I saw this morning of her on American tv last night

How about feeling bad for Kevin Federline cause he's an absolute douche and it appears there's no amount of money that can fix it?

    From the site. So true.

Before the wedding she suspended her stupidity long enough to get K Fed to sign a pre nup so he doesn't walk away with that much all things considered, still more than he had before he got with her though but no more trips to Vegas for him.

She did a lot of interviews before she was even going out with him saying she always wanted to be a young mother, she was looking forward to settling down and she'd give up her career to look after her kids, it was what she always wanted etc.

    Not exactly.
As for money, sources tell TMZ the couple, who married in Sept. 2004, has an iron-clad prenup. Not surprisingly, Spears is waiving her right to spousal support. She's also asking the judge to make each party pay their own attorney's fees
Britney's making that gold-digger pay from his pocket, not from her's. She's also trying to get full custody of the kids, which she most probably will.

Apparently at the time she didn't want one cause it was "true love y'all" but her mum (who probably down a bottle of Jack D when she heard about the wedding) and then manager Larry something managed to convince her that it was totally stupid not to and that she got lucky with the Jason Alexander saga by managing to hold onto her money and that they was no way K Fed would let her go without a 50 50 split of $130 million.
Maybe K Fed and Heather Mills should hook up. :D

Over here in America, this is like having your birthday and Christmas at once. I couldn't give a flying rat's ass about Britney's happiness but I am cheering for mine. FINALLY that shiftless, money-sucking, weasel-eyed cnut "K-Fed" wil be off my tv once and for all (after the inevitable tearful interview(s) about how he 'truly loved her' etc, etc) and ubercnut Rumsfeld is out, too, according to the message left on my phone by a hysterically giggling, delighted friend of mine. Praise the LAWD!

I had the dubious pleasure of hearing samples from a couple of his 'songs' on some mtv show one day. They were showing him in the recording studio. It was truly awful stuff, every bit as bad as you'd imagine and then some. No doubt he'll make a few quid now from selling his story and the inevitable book. But I can see him being forgotten very quickly as he simply doesn't appear to have anything much going for him in terms of talent, personality etc. Nothing that would even land him a career on cable tv channels or on the c-list celebrity circuit.
