If you getting into ring that much, you got to be doing a serious amount of training.

What puzzels me, is why someone would still be so fat, if their training so much?

Mill, at the risk of sounding like i'm losing my patience, i imagine it is because he eats a lot.

It's really that simple. Being fat does not impede his fighting to any great degree, if anything the weight behind the punches is simply adding to the knock out power.

He is obviously comfortable enough with himself to not feel like he needs to be thin, or else he is just not happy with himself but has been unable to do anything about it.

It's not complicated Boxer + Pies = Fat Boxer.

Right so maybe to put this another way.

Boxer + Daily Hard Training + Running + Eat like a Pig = FAT FAT FAT

So if training hard, and one is eating junk, pies etc..... you will still be fat...it does not automatically mean fit fighting shaped body.

Of course not, if your daily training gives you a calorific need of lets say 4500 calories, but you consume 7000+ a day your gonna gain weight.

    Anything + Pies = Fat Anything :D

I read that his diet was nothing but Butterbeans and Chicken in order to loose weight (420 - 400lbs) to compete in toughman.

I have to say I like the whole non-conformaty of his way of taking on the boxing game. It doesn't have a condisending "Look even a fat guy can do it" or anything, he's not proving anyone wrong. It's just "Hey guys, I'm a boxer too." It's not like he's unaware of the fact that people think he's a joke. Does it affect him? No.

    You go Butterbean, you go.

I like that about him too.

He's in there doing it, not worried he is not cut up like an athlete, not giving ideas he will be world champ, he's a fighter and he' s doing it, and making money.

This beer is on my Big Lad! :D

I would love to see his daily diet and training routine....Whilst he floored Johnny Knoxville in Jackass, to be honest I still think he got off extremely lightly, can you imagine if Butterbean had really gotten a clean shot instead of knocking him to the floor almost straight away...very impressive boxing record, saw a mixed clip of his knockouts somewhere recently, very powerful guy. You'd have to be quite literally insane to go up against him as a skinny, completely untrained competitor!

Whoah, whoah!! Slow down, doctor :D

    Butterbean vs. Mike Bernado

The two round guide to beating Butterbean. BB hits maybe three shots, none to the head. What a finish, Bernado really exploited the weaknesses in this one.

    I can't believe there's 2 pages on Butterbean's weight!

    Mill,
I doubt his training regime is all that extensive. I'd say a great deal of time is spent keeping his weight UP!

On that note, Ken Norton was a very lean heavyweight, and here was his average breakfast:
"What would you have for breakfast?"
"I would have nine eggs, seven pieces of bacon, eight pieces of toast, a bowl of cereal, two glasses of orange juice and two glasses of milk."

    LOL!

    Thats a nice sounding breakfast!

That is some amount of eating there.
