Sailing as a passenger

Hi,

Just wondering is there any place around Dublin where someone with no experience can go sailing, when I say sailing I really mean as a passenger, so more of a cruise for an hour or two on a fairly decent boat.

Why don't you try a local sailing club. You may be more of a crew than a passenger, but there's more fun in helping out than just sitting there.

True, I agree but I was thinking of this more as a birthday present, sitting back enjoying the sights.

No where I can think of in Dublin that will charter you a yacht with a crew. Not much demand. It's one thing to do it in the Med, another to do it in the "lovely" Dublin Bay.

Your best chance would be if you knew someone with their own boat who would take you out for a cruise.
