Sailing as a passenger

    Hi,

Just wondering is there any place around Dublin where someone with no experience can go sailing, when I say sailing I really mean as a passenger, so more of a cruise for an hour or two on a fairly decent boat.

    Cheers,
    Finn

Why don't you try a local sailing club. You may be more of a crew than a passenger, but there's more fun in helping out than just sitting there.

True, I agree but I was thinking of this more as a birthday present, sitting back enjoying the sights.

No where I can think of in Dublin that will charter you a yacht with a crew. Not much demand. It's one thing to do it in the Med, another to do it in the "lovely" Dublin Bay. ;)

Your best chance would be if you knew someone with their own boat who would take you out for a cruise.
