The main event has something like 2% withheld from the 10k for costs and dealers wages I think I read somewhere.

    It's actually 6%.

The following percentages will be withheld from each buy-in for each event:

    Buy-in Take-Out
    $500 10%
    $1,000.00 9%
    $1,500.00 9%

Gotta love it. They increased all of the final ten players' chips. Presumably so the dumb audience would be wowed by 20k bets.
Also my fussy web dev side coming out. Why can't these updates be in order of when they occur. I can jump to latest happenings if I wish but otherwise most would like to read from where they left off to the current situation.

Andy has 3 times his nearest rival in chips.

    Ok, kinda obvious I suppose.

Pokerwire are doing updates as well, but it looks to be identical to cardplayer: http://www.pokerwire.com/

There's also some discussion on the full contact forum: http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-forum/index.php?showtopic=65255&st=0

Andy has a bit of respect over there.

Negreanau's (can't spell it) video diary will be the coolest thing in the WSOP this year.

I hope he can continue to be such a positive ambassador for such a cruel game.
    got gethem Danny!

Oh dear, Andy lost a huge hand with Daniel Negreanu, he had AK but ran into Kings and didn't catch an Ace and is now 5th of 6 players with just 173,000 chips, Negreanu is first with 1,500,000 chips.

heard that - painful. going to be hard for him to get back in now. still a fine paycheck to start the WSOP.

Interesting hand, he played it very aggressively, but that's his style anyway. Did he have to get the money in pre-flop with AK? Negreanu is never calling with a hand that Andy is ahead of.

Fifth for 100K is great and all, but you just cant shake the feeling that he could have done much better.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,322 ✭✭✭Hitchhiker's Guide to...

if he'd read the thread on the main poker page which advised folding AK just off the bubble in the 100k tournament on tribeca, he might be a richer man this morning (only kidding btw)

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,299 ✭✭✭✭MadsL

Got to feel for Kid Poker....
For the fourth time since they have been heads-up, Daniel Negreanu has raised preflop with pocket aces. Everytime, Mike Sexton has mucked preflop.

....Andy not playing the $1500 Event?

ditto maybe this plays ok with three players left but with seven and against the only player that can really hurt him it's dodgy

....Andy not playing the $1500 Event?

He did, - out in 93rd place.

WSOP Running total up $98,500 for 2 events played. vn.

If Andy finished in joint 93rd, which he did, he will cash. The first 262 players are getting paid out of a total entry of 2276. So its 100k + and rising.

For those of you going to the WSOP I note that this event was a sell out.
The entry was capped at 2276, so get in early to avoid disappointment.
