Why did we only ever get the little fact box on the cyclops?

When Monster Munch first came out I thought that we were going to be regularly enlightened with facts about various mythological beasts.... but no... it was always the bloody cyclops.

i too have borne for many years this feeling of being totally gipped by only ever reading about the cyclops as a child. How i wished back then to even SEE a different flavour packet of monster munch

in other news, walkers thai sweet chili is nice but those current mccoys posh flavour range are the knees of bees.

I heartily concur on the spicy nik naks and would add that cheesy wotsits hold their own against crisp

but then what happend to burger bites? :(

Aldi does the fancy McCoys crisps.

I got a nice big bag of Thai Sweet Chicken flavour there for €1.49.

Speaking of crisps changing since we were young.....does anyone remember cheese and onion crisps by the name of "Ma Reily's"?? There were in a red bag with a see through part on the front, 10p they cost, no one I know remembers them

As for the Mighty Munch, had a packet of them last night, jeez, them things really know how to cling to your teeth and then you get the few that are practically bright red because they have so much falvouring in them.......:D they make your face scrunch up!! :p

I remember them only because there was a guy in my class called "Reilly" or possibly "O'Reilly" who rather unsensibly used to eat them all the time and being kids we'd always take the piss out him by going "was yer Ma up early making your lunch again for ya?"

But does anyone remember Hedgehog Crisps? You would get them in health food shops and some of a money went to Hedgehog rescue centres... They were really tasty.

Just found this from Boards.ie back in 2002:
Anyone from laois remember Ma Reily's, they were the ultimate poxy crisp that your aunt or granny always bought you, Adbundant in the laois area.(the crisps, not granny's)

RE: that thing with the Cyclops on the back of the Monster Munch packets. I've never been able to find an image of it online. Anyone who grew up in 80s Ireland will remember it. It showed him about to bite into what looked like a big stone, though presume it was supposed to be a loaf of bread, and the stone/loaf was dripping with red gore.

Does anyone have an old packet that they could scan and upload?
