I'm 32 and I often wonder when I'll grow up, I am no way ready for marriage I've proved that with past relationships, I'm far too shallow lol.

    So I really wouldn't worry

If it makes you feel any better I don't see it mentioned here already, 'that the thirties are the new twenties!'

How ideal should the other person be?

As ideal as it takes to have compatible imperfections.

Given the conciousnesses we have about our bodies, the advances in health and the extending of our lifespans, really - 32 - you have time.

Do you think this is post break up panic?

Enjoy your singledom, it will be gone before you know it and suddenly you'll have someone else you have to consider whenever you make big decisions and you'll be envying the freedom of the unattached.

im 37, male and single. I have a kid from a past reletionship so that is one less thing to regret when Im 50 I know its done but I dont think anyone should feel the need to be settled down by year x have kids by year y and be married by year z, its just not how its done in 2006.
