Does anyone know when the Summer '06 exam results are out... I checked the ul web page but can't find a date, or maybe I just didn't look hard enough!

mine weren't up but then i went into my cv and clicked on education and the results were there..i got them for me and my friend.but my brothers ones aren't up yet..its weird..

fcuk sake mine aren't up either, the education bit of cv has no college results up for me whatsoever. Wonder what it all means. Least I didn't get a letter yet!! I doubt anything will be up until tomorrow at least

its up, but i dunno how 2do this QCA see i did a post grad in ul this yr n my degree is from maynooth and there was no QCA. on top of my results it has a grade = 2.1 but i just rang my mate and she said my QCA will determine my grade.

WHAT A LOAD OF BOLOX. I'm so pissed off

Click on 'Student CV' under 'Cooperative Education & Careers Division' on the right hand side of the main page. The education link is then near the top right hand corner of the next page.

Of course there might still be nothing there...grrr...

Edit: Nevermind, I see you got them.

Go in2 student records! click on ur cv and its a big page so scroll across 2 d right, thats how i missed it earlier on. u'll see education button, click on it and its all there. but i dunno how 2do this QCA and ****tin a massive brick coz i'm happy wit my results, esp 1 of them and i dunno how 2do QCA r what i got r NOTHING!!

Nah, a few people here have said they don't have them and I know at least one other person in the real world who doesn't have them either. I wouldn't worry.

basically, work out what each grade is worth [there's a guide in the link above, just search qca on the page]

each module is worth a certain amount of credits, this is their weight..most are worth 3 but differ depending on year and course i guess.

QPV is grade worth * module weight, eg b1 = 3.2 * 3 for the module.

repeat for all modules.

total yer QPV.

semester qca == total QPV * 1.00 / total modules weight - 0.00 * 1.00.

it's all in the handbook.

mine still aren't up, but my mama collected the post and she said i didnt get a letter so not so bad!! My boyfriend results were up in edcuation bit of cv last year and they were the wrong results so who knows what ul are up to

ok word from student services is that ITD are running scripts so some people can access some people cant, and all letters are sent out by now

The student CV isn't working anymore. "The Education section of the Student CV is not available at the moment due to grading." Feck sake, its Friday and there's nothing up. Same old UL huh. All I can say is they better be ready on Monday or there'll be hell to pay

Looks like I'm in for the most painfully long weekend of my life. Those of you whose results went up on Wednesday should consider yourselves very lucky indeed!

I swear if I don't get them on Monday I'll personally smack each and every one of them. I will.

i can get my results the normal way now,under the view my results so far part..but i can't get my brothers..there's no my course information part on the page for him is anyone else having the same problem???he's in 4th year so he really wants his results

DV I've been waitin all night for mine too. 4th year as well. But I've been keeping my cool.....somewhat....clicking...loading....waiting......patiently.........I HATE ITD SOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!....................in other news this episode of lost is good...

Bah, the results are up the 4 days I dont have access to a PC.

The software as usual seems to have collapsed in on itself.

Inept muppets, its probably something as stupid as changing the default connection limit on the server software.

Still as far as I know I didnt get a letter so fingers crossed

EDIT: Got em, 3 B1's a C1 and a D1 (Paddy!!!!)

What does the C or the O under status mean? I've got 3 C under the B's and a O beside the C and the D?

Ditto. I'm actually starting to go slightly insane. This thing with some people's results being up and others (i.e. me) not is ever so slightly rage-inducing.

And now to plot the best way to annihilate ITD...

I might have sort of figured out the problem. People who have their results are able to click on "View your results so far" but 4th years are finished so we don't get results "so far" we get them all. And when we log on to si we see "There is a problem displaying the full transcript at the moment."

So they use a different system to show 4th year results than everyone else's and there's some sort of problem with that system (probably a misplaced semi colon in the code or something similarly stupid). And of course because ITD are so incredibly thick they didn't bother testing it in the last 5 weeks since the exams finished and probably don't know how to fix it now anyway.

I guess it's a sort of goodbye slap in the face for us long suffering 4th years.

That's my theory anyway.

i know of a few 4th years who got their results through the cv/education thing the other day when people were gettin them that way...So it aint all fourth years its only some...even if u look under the adviser information there's nothin there its like they've just forgotten about some 4th years altogether!!!

Yeah DV I think you could be right. The only 4th years I know who got their results either new a person in ITD or got them through the CV (but ITD thought 'We can't possibly continue allowing people to do this illegal act!" and stopped it)
Anyway I tried this morning and guess what?!........they weren't there.
I'm actually going in to student services now to get the transcript. Oh and just to warn anyone doing the same....they don't open until 10.30 on a monday but they don't advertise that. Geez Im really bitter for this hour of the morning......
