    Damian Marley - eh... no.

 But what about "Welcome to Jamrock"! I`m going to see him tomorrow night just for that.

does anyone know if you can buy camping tickets for oxegen because frankly the line up is pants but i might be interested in moving into the campsite for the few days.I was at download last year and we met a load of people who just got a camping ticket for less than £20 and had a great weekend.

Editors, Eels, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah... hmm, this is getting interesting. Come on Arcade Fire, Weezer + 4 of the following (Vines, Turn, Tool, Bloc Party, Hard-fi, Jimmy Eat World, Kings Of Leon, Doves).

I missed Bloc Party and Doves last year. Jimmy and Turn rocked. Vines and Hard-fi would be nice day time music too. Tool to support Placebo :D

Its improved slightly but still not enough. T just got Belle and Sebastian added but thats probably T only. :-(

How do you know this? There's nothing about that up on oxegen.ie

Does anyone know if the World Cup final will be played on any of the big screens on the Sunday? That would be class!

LOL, that was my thoughts exactly and I'd expect a scolding for them. Lineup is looking really excellent but I don't think it's the place to be for the world cup - last year people wanted to see the lions tour, year before it was probably european championships and year before it was... Fact is, I'm not sure how practical it'd be to halt an entire festival for the world cup final - it'd be a huge disruption to what's normally a tight stage schedule.

Sadly it'd put me off going for the whole weekend, despite what's shaping up as an excellent lineup.

Isn't it on around 8pm this year? I couldnt see that working.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Go! Team, Eels, Placebo, Sigur Rós... that's a little better. Still looks really typical though.

In the future I hope all the additional bands I like stick to the Sunday, because if I go I'll only be going on one day. :v:

And if Belle and Sebastian are added, they'll be playing the Sunday, so here's hoping...

brilliant pharrell williams and timo maas, definalty improved big time in my point of view. hope they get some more hip hop/rap artists or dance. hope tiesto or someone like that comes. anybody know when the final list for oxegen will be confirmed or will they be adding new bands and artists up until may?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 474 ✭✭deisedolly

They keep on adding more and more up til it gets very close to when it's actually on as far as i remember from past years!

Thinking the same about Tiesto! Fingers crossed that Kanye West will make an appearance aswell :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,236 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

hehe, Pharell, brilliant. And i dont evem like that type of music. Not gonna miss him. Think the best thing will be the Strokes followed by The Who! Not to bad. The next bands i want to see announced would be: QOTSA, DFA 1979, NBA, Weezer. Doubt QOTSA or DFA 1979 will play though.
QOTSA should play their own date around the 17th June cos thats when they support Foo's in Hyde Park. A warm up gig in the Olympia would be the sweetest thing ever this summer. Even better than Metallica for me

I can't wait for it. Sunday will be better, hope the weather holds. They might screen the world cup in one of the tents, maybe the bacardi bar? Hey that would keep the kids out too. :D

Cant wait for oxegen. In the pit all day sunday. being at the front for the peppers if it kills me. Better bring some arnica!

hope tiesto or someone like that comes.

ah yeah tiesto, thats sure to keep all the knackers away from spending the whole time gettin locked and pissin on peoples tents,
but im not gonna be there so what do i care. i just dont see why everyone is so against the chili's, i think they are an amazing live band

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 648 ✭✭✭exiot

I agree with you, I was gobsmacked at Slane 2003. I think the lineup is shaping up nicely, cant wait to see The Kooks, Chilis, Go! Team and Placebo live!

I've heard alot of people on other forums ranting about how scumbags pissed and even sh!tted in/on their tents last year on top of the usual stealing stuff and the widespread setting random tents on fire.

^ that's not scaremongering.... that's a fact. Be wise and pick a good spot. Don't pitch anywhere, look at the type of crowd around you. If they look dodgy go somewhere else. Most likely nothing will happen but it's a fact that there are scumbags at the festival and I've heard it's got far worse compared to the Witness days.

Paul Weller confirmed - A reason that may convince me to go for definite.
