Excellent build quality, nearly perfect sound isolation and a lot of accessories (Different sized silicone tips, one set of biflange tips, one set of memory foam tips, 3.5mm-1/4" adapter, flight adapter and a hard case to keep everything in.

As for the sound itself, it's definitely up there as one of the best headphones i've ever used. The bass is detailed and powerful and i'd even go so far as to say it beats most over-ear headphones (That i've tried) when it comes to clarity. As for the mids, they're a tiny bit less prominent than the bass and treble but not by a huge deal. Still very detailed and clear though. As for the treble, they're very good and not too bright but there's still the odd bit of sibilance (Although in fairness the sibilance isn't really the headphone's fault).

All in all, they sound fantastic and are a real joy to use. An absolute steal at that price too.

The issues weren't about SQ (mostly) they were about fit issues with the cable. Something also mentioned on HeadFi. There only been one person who reviewed these, so not much to go on. Head-Fi can often have opposing opinions on gear too. Though I've agreed with ClieOS with his reviews on stuff in the past.
As you say they are cheap, so worth a try. But fit is critical for a IEM.

yep, seems to be an issue, but Clieos does say that the clip on the set will sort that out. I agree though - this would not be a set for running or the gym - there are some microphonics too.

I picked up a set of the MH1c. For the money they were very good. I couldn't disagree with anything in that review. They are better than all my cheap earphones. But not better than my more expensive MX760's. But still very impressive for the price. I had trouble with them staying in though. Isolation was v.good. Remote didn't really work for my ICS G300. Its in an unusable. location though. Still for under €20 theres nothing to touch them. Assuming you can keep them in!

just got them this morning. very impressed so far. seem to work fit-wise for me with the big tips and well inserted into my ears. isolation is only medium I would say. very impressive separation and as noted by others - v.good warmish all-rounder type sound. bass on the low side but that's ok. bargain for the price. may well pick up a second pair as such good value. don't like the cable at all though.

Odd I got great isolation with mine. Guess it all comes down to fit and seal. I think I'm on the medium tips.

I can get decent isolation but not compared to some other iems. the sound quality really is very good though - the burn-in effect does really seem to be real in this case. top quality.

these are still getting better. bought a second pair. total bargain for 20 euro. won't really work for sports though due to microphonics due to cable.

don't be put off by fact that it has a remote control. in fact this will work on android phones (recent ones, not just sony) so could well suit you. will report back when I get it.

definitely the mh1c have better sound quality.
however they won't work well if you're intending to use them for running / gym as the cable microphonics (the sound that you can hear when the cables mover or are touched) are very bad.
also, some people are having trouble with ear fit but I find it ok. great sound though - go for them I say. many on head-fi saying that they're comparable to earphones up to and above 150 usd.

That's what i intend using them for, unfortunately.
I'm planning on starting to get some sort of fitness regime going, and jogging is included..

I had a set of Meelec M6 that were great for staying in the ear. SQ was only ok bit too much bass. I cna only use the mh1c at the desk. Even walking I couldn't keep them in my ear.

They had a clearance sale of the HiFiMAN RE-0 In-ear Earphones $49.00 was toying with the idea of getting them before they sold out.

they are different. the tips for the mh1c were specially developed (see head-fi interview with developer).

the normal sony hybrids are not as rigid.

some report good success with bi-flange tips. I tried vsonic bi-flanges which worked well but went back to the stock tips.

All my other tips from Senns, Denon and Meelec don't fit the mh1c its tube is a lot wider than those other one. So I can't try them.

Softer ones might work. I just think the whole remote/flat cable is just too heavy and pulls them out.

if you use the shirt clip then it helps definitely. personally don't get an issue with them falling out...

RE-ZERO earphones are balanced design earphones. If you need to use RE-ZERO earphones on regular earphone socket, you have to use the balance 4-pin TRRS plug to regular earphone TRS plug adaptor (in the packing box). If you directly plug TRRS balaced plug to regular earphone jack, RE-ZERO will only have sound in one channel.
