hi, does anyone know when or if the Docklands DART station is open? it seems to be finished and all lit up at night but the DART never stops there i dont think - any help much appreciated. Thanks. :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 78,352 ✭✭✭✭Victor

Docklands is only served by suburban trains, not DART. Even at that, only Broombridge-Clonsilla are served, with gaps in the middle of the day. It is there to take pressure off Connolly.

Bus 90 serves the area and will get you to Connolly, Tara Street or Heuston. Route 151 will get you to Tara Street (and Adamstown!).

thanks Victor. Will the dart ever stop there do you know? It is on the route on the darts showing as a DART stop..We just bought an apartment on East Road, East Wall and im trying to sort the Dart to work - Cant figure out if Connolly or Clontarf is closest but the Docklands is 5mins away!! Never mind eh!

This is unlikely as the DART will be reorganised when the Interconnector is built.

    Where is this map?

Note, if you are heading southbound and Clontarf is closer, but only by a few minutes in the difference, you are probably better off going to Connolly as there will be slightly more trains and less risk of disruption. Likewise, if heading north, chose Clontarf Road - the only exception being in the morning peak when some trains operate semi-express and don't stop at Clontarf Road.
