I very rarely lift a mouse. Seems like a novice thing to do. But then I'm not a hardcore gamer. So who knows!

well i now suck at ut2004

id got rather good with my little 250dpi'er now im bloody awful with this

its so damn touchy its gonna take time to adjust, but its really nice, i just need to get use to it, and due to me moving my mouse around stupidly coz im moving it too much, i now appear to be lifting the mouse off the desk a few times..which doesnt usuallllly happen..im not sure if there was a hint of lag for a split millisecond or its just im not use to it yet, still its great!

and it came full charged, which i didnt actually expect  ..the 3 little battery lights to saw how full it is, when you dont move it these go off..it like goes into power saving mode and everything lol, its bloody advanced

well my opti mouse is broke and I ordered one of these yesterday so im looking forward to it... from what I hear there is no wireless issue with this mouse and it really it supposedly the coolest and best mousey ever.... now if it would just arrive id be happier cos its kinda hard to play games with no left mouse button as im currently experiencing :)

its too sensitive for me so ive had to turn it down ..which involves me picking up the mouse to reposition..and yep i get the lag effect

    o...m...g

im outraged!, i spent £14 for a mouse which has been great for well over a year, ok it wasnt the smoothest of things but at least it did what i wanted!

i like all the extra features of these..but why in gods name does the laser turn off when you pick it up!...jesus stick a label on warning people you can see it and leave the damn thing on..if someone ..blinds themself thats there problem!

    (rant mode)

i sense unless there any sort of firmware fix for this im gonna be getting in touch with overclockers!...i dont think ill even buy a new mouse i just want a refund or buy something else from them.....

*cries and hunts down some sort of ..fix*

Turn down the mouse sensitivity in the game options.

It will take a week or two to get used to new mice.

hmm, I think i'm gonna to with kensington pilot mouse optical!

was looking for mx1000, but looks too heavy for gaming! and like you said about the laser, it suits me less

yeh i could cope with just adjusting the sensitivity, i know it would take a while but fair enough

the lag issue though i move my hand to reposition the mouse its something i do subconsciously i dont even NEED to do it most of the time but i just do, ive been doing it since i was like 4..so i doubt ill ever be able to stop that, with this it makes online gaming a no go..sorry but im back on my old optical...overclockers better take it back

or i would have to sell it i guess...hmm...not good

I just got mine and I like it a lot. Its a huge improvement over my microsoft optical wireless mouse. Its even lighter than my previous mouse. The only multiplayer game I am playing at the moment is Far Cry and it works great with it. I dont seem to have any lag issues. Even when I pick it up it works straight away without any lag :)
    Well happy with the it.

maybe i got 1 of the "dodgy" batches then

ive emailed overclockers, they reply by asking me what surfaces ive tried it on, after telling em im still awaiting an email

I use the pad I got free with my casing. Thermaltake pad. Been using it for 5-6 hours now and still havent got a complaint.

tbh it just doesnt feel right in UT for me..i think they are gonna send me a replacement so i think ill just sell the damn thing

Cool looking mouse but I could never get used to wireless mice. Just never feel responsive enough for my tastes. Viper, check out the Razor Bloomslang range as they are damm good mice.

Keep up with the positive posting.... after i ordered this mouse and it was shipped i reread the topic and realised id completely missed the part on the lag so i need good news to keep me happy about my 75e mouse that should arrive tomorrow...

im thinking its a dodgy batch you know...as i dont think everyone gets it..so i wouldnt worry too much

ill check out the razors mate...as long as i can sell the mx1000 as ive just got an RMA number for it so this one is gonnneee...but they dont mention a refund or getting something else for the same price instead of..so i just presume ill get another next week...i was gonna ask for an audigy 2 instead

I did a comparison on a software called mouserate. I dont know how accurate this software is but on my old mouse I was getting an average 80-90Hz and on the MX1000 I was getting about 125-140Hz :)

My two favourites out of the lot released so far have been the MS intelli 3.0 and the Logitech MX510 but I've yet to try an MX1000. I thought the MX310 was a rotten little thing, more of a rat :P

I think there's a bad batch of this mouse. Was reading other forums, a lot of people seem not to have problems with the mouse and yet there's people that has problems.
I can lift the mouse 6 feet of the ground and still use the buttons without any lag at all.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 807 ✭✭✭ViperVenoM

should have my new 1 for wednesday...i dont know if i like it enough to keep it tho..even if it works

It's not the buttons, it's a delay in the laser when you lift the mouse and put it back down when turning in games. If you take any fps seriously then it's enough to really piss you off.

It must be a certain batch then, mine doesn't have any problems (and I play FPS games).

I even tried the stupid test from the video (lifting up the mouse and smashing it on the desk like he did), and it seemed fine.

I play Far Cry everyday and I do lift the mouse up and it doesnt lag at all. The moment I put down the mouse it moves straight away. Dont have any problems what so ever.

hmmm then i was ripped off..its soooo tiny i dont think many people notice but if you need it instant..and i mean instant not 0.1 second later..it messes with your aim in fast games like UT big time :(

I got logitechs mx700 just before this mouse came out. I also got a microsoft wired mouse, you know the white one with the LED visable at the back.

Used the wired mouse in work for LAN Halo, and the wireless at home for internet games. Done really well in work (lads in there are very good, play every day!), but done bad at home, in fact I didn't enjoy it that much at all, very frustrating.

After a while I decided to test out the wired mouse at home and OMG, the difference was unreal, the game seemed SO easy. Now I never use the logitech for FPS games. Oh and the keyboard was terrible as well. Just goes to show that unless you have a good mouse already you won't notice another sh!te one.

Oh and the Razer Boomslang 2100 has 2100dpi, much more than the mx1000 at 800dpi and almost 10 times more than the cheap optical 250dpi Trust mouse, Viper VenoM, I would stay away form that if you don't like the high sensitivity (like myself).

The Razer Boomslang 2100 has very good software to adjust up and down the sensitivity level so you can get it just right :)
