1 pint Bulmers - €5.20 - The Carpenter pub, Blanchardstown

Y'see - it seems that it's not exactly rip-off Ireland in this case, but rather Rip Off Dublin. Down here in the sticks, you'll get change out of €4 for a pint of Guinness.

Maybe you lot in the city ought to organise a massive day out to the country (not Galway/Limerick/Cork) but to small towns and do a weekends drinking there. Practically guaranteed lock-ins, no rude taxi drivers and cheap sauce!

There is places in dublin city center like that also, you just have to know where to look. Not all pubs go for the Capital Bars/JRB's/Q Bar pricing scheme.

Indeed - I'm sure that's the case, but what are the odds on a lock-in and a free plate of cocktail sausages...eh! :D
