Someone just asked me in work what was the first film I ever went to the cinema to see.....
Can't remember whether it was Jungle Book (80's release!) or The Last Unicorn...

I do remember going to see ET on my 4th or 5th birthday though! :D

Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom.

The 'heart surgery' scene warped my fragile little mind.

    Birth of a Nation ;)

I can't recall actually! The earliest that I can remember I think was "Harry and the Hendersons". Yeah. What a memory.

Mine was the Jungle Book as well in the early 80s when I was about 3 or 4 in the Classic in Harold's Cross.

I remember my Dad telling me we were going to see "The pictures" when I was about 5 or 6.
I couldn't understand why we had to go anywhere to look at pictures, when there were perfectly good pictures at home!

Movie turned out to be "Spirit of the wild". Kind of like a feature length episode of "Grizzly Adams".

IMdB lists this movie as "Adventures of Frontier Fremont (1976)" aka "Spirit of the Wild"

If I remember correctly ..... a triple header of StarWars/EmpireStrikesBack/Return of the Jedi at the Classic in Harolds Cross

Not a bad way to start really :)

    Gone with the wind...

    Nah
I think my first film was either Harry and the hendersons (I thought it was Bigfot and the hendersons, but it has been a while, or The land before time at some Kids day or something (I think to conincide with it there was a great load of paper mache dinosaurs outside wherever they were showing the film.

LOL @ Moonwalker, oh yeah I forgot this film was even made. Was'nt the whole thing set at night? I (think I) remember the smooth criminal bit...

The earliest I can remember was The Aristocats at the Classic in Harold's Cross ... would have been the very early 80's

Ferngulley...or that thing about all the tragically cute dinosaurs...Land...something?
Both equally traumatic experiences to me...
