If you just see the first shot I agree, it's not the most pleasing thing for the eye, but moving down the photos and looking at the impeccable detail I was impressed with it, although gold is not something I would easily put on my bike.

That bike looks like Saddam Husein's en suite.

    NOPE.

Its a one-off custom jobbie, 'dripping' in 24-carat gold according to this article: http://www.elaboratetaste.com/colnago-master-24-carat-gold-bike/

I doubt that it was ever meant to be ridden (unless by Saddam, maybe) but, while it is OTT for sure, it's far from rank......I'd ride it! (I might trim the brake cables, mind)

Ah yes. The owner of the stolen Elswick Ludlow Uppy passed away a year ago. I wish the bike thieves the botch, the emerods and the Egyptian scab.

    It flies.

Descending is a blast, far more fun than the 2 wheel machines.

    Thanks for your interest.

I have seen a few of the trike races in the UK, crazy stuff and highly entertaining. Would love to try one.

  • Registered Users Posts: 383 ✭✭The Ging and I

A nice trike indeed but the stem does not work with it unless you have some medical reasons.
Trikes and tandem trikes(long barrows) are very popular in England and often seen on Audax events
