Re: Limerick GAA Discussion Part 2
If we lose to Dublin we have no right to be in the championship anyway.
It would be one of the great shocks in championship history.
Re: All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship 2025 (Munster And Leinster Championships,Liam McCarthy Cup)
You have to laugh at this line of thinking. A dummy game a few weeks ago! It was a game that qualified Limerick for the All Ireland series and meant Cork had to go into a make or break game vs Waterford. A game they made very hard work of . What a load of utter nonsense saying it was a dummy game. You'll be telling me next that the day Limerick beat Cork in the round robin in 2023 was a dummy game.
I expect Limerick to beat Dublin and then come through a huge battle against Kilkenny. If they play Cork in the final, Limerick will win. They are simply a far better hurling team all round. Cork defensively are still soft as sh*te.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if it was a Limerick Tipp All Ireland final though, that Cork team can be got at and Tipp will fancy putting up a big score against them. It's just a case of whether Tipp are good enough defensively. I'm dismissing Galway based on that anaemic display yesterday.
Re: Very quiet in here
Im banned from the thread. I was ironically banned for supposedly "being a dick" which is language very unbecoming of a morally superior mod.
But you wont need to wade. Just read the most recent page. If you do it from an unbiased position youll spot the glaringly obvious very quickly.
Re: Very quiet in here
So exactly HOW does moderation work? Serious question.
Ye don't read the whole thread which is fair enough in a busy one, but do you read back maybe a page or two when considering whether to action a post to get the context of what led to the "objectionable" post, or do you just judge the specific post in question?
What prompts the review in the first place? I'm presuming reports from others? Are any records kept of "serial reporters" and the quality of their own posts or if they had prior engagement with the aforementioned "objectionable" post?
What sort of onboarding or training is given for mods? Actually, what criteria is used to select them in the first place?

Re: planned drone deliveries from dublin industrial estate
Look. I'm a cool guy. Designer. Own a smartphone. Use the apps. Down with the kids… etc, etc…
But getting fast food and coffee delivered to you by a feckin' drone… spare me. We've lost the plot.
Stop the world and let me off.
Re: Very quiet in here
Id be very surprised if pro immigration posters got warned much, if at all. But anti immigration posters get banned.
I got banned for posting about irish heritage. My post was in response to another poster, pro immigration. They continued to post on the subject, no warnining no ban.
The mod that banned me tried to tell me i was wrong about my point on irish heritage.
Pretty much proving that I wasn't being banned for any rule breaking. I was being banned for having a different view of irish heritage than said mod.
Its a safe space for left leaning posters. If you cant see that then...
Re: Boycotting: Unsure if I'm in a rabbit hole here?
Modern corporate practices have made such decisions both meaningless and impossible. I can virtually guarantee that the device you're using to post this question has as much (if not more) to do with Israel than a guitar. Unless you go totally off-grid and become entirely self-sufficient, you cannot avoid globally inter-connected companies.
Boycott direct Israeli companies if you choose, and maybe go one degree of separation. After that it is simply not feasible to go further. Even if you could, your targets would be totally unaware of your reasons for boycotting them.
