Re: Electric Picnic 2025 **No Ticket Sales / Requests** - Hot metal and methedrine, I hear empire down
Autotune or pure lip syncing? 20 mins was enough for me and the mate anyway, had higher expectations for her.
3rd EP for me.
Best of the weekend for me was Nile Rodgers and Marc Reblliot, neither of which I've seen before, particularly Marc who improvised the first 30-40 mins of his set thought he was much better than fatboy personally.
Seen a total of 18 acts across the weekend, mainly around the big tents / main arena. Thought Sam Fender was as solid as ever and David Gray was decent, but I thought he was going to get angry when people kept taking photos as he was singing (was actually quite funny, started out with a small group of lads taking a photo and ended up with 50+ people joining the photo). He definitely noticed it but didnt seem to bother him.
Really enjoyed Inhaler, have good potential and could see myself going to see them again. (Even the Coronas which i know many on here dont like had a great atmosphere and full electric arena, particularly liked Mundy's July which he sang with them).
Thought the toilets were much improved this year, even around the main stage they weren't half as bad as last year and the toilets in the eco campsite were cleaned regularly and were the airplane vacum type toilets. Now, on the negative side there were definitely times where you could notice the increased attendance, but nothing too uncomfortable I thought
The eco campsite really is a long walk, longer still if you cant get into the blue carpark, which we couldn't. They need to find a way of getting the right people into the blue carpark and the right people into red.
Overall really enjoyed the weekend, and with loyalty tickets it worked out at roughly €15 per artist i visited which is great value when you think of it like that.
Looking Forward to next year...hopefully an earlier lineup announcement for 2026!

Re: Presidential Election 2025
Definitely the worst candidate so far. Donnelly has clearly given absolutely zero consideration to what the role might entail or even what her own political viewpoints are. She doesn't seem the sharpest knife in the drawer either.
Re: Donald Trump the Megathread part II
It doesn't. The dude just really, really enjoys annoucements and acting like a king.
Re: The light touch CA moderation experiment
What does leaning in any direction have to do with anything? I really hate this left, right stuff. Just because a mod is meant to be "right" doesn't stop bias or prejudice. Also guess what people lie on the internet too…
There’s a reason why, in every feedback thread or the recent Important News thread, the number one/two issue raised is always the modding in CA. I don’t know if you refuse to see it, or if it’s just because you’re mates with the mods, but you can’t ignore what’s right in front of your eyes. Boards is on its last legs, and what’s not helping is the cohort of mods who make CA unbearable by banning people non stop.
i'm currently on a 3 month ban but if my ban was lifted tomorrow, I wouldnt go back. The environment created in CA is just unbearable and it only caters for certain poster views judging from the bans.

Re: Autumn 2025 - General Discussion
I thought the transition from summer to autumn this year was the most abrupt and well defined I can ever recall.
Last Monday, August 25th was a warm cloudy and humid day here in Limerick city. Typical late summer pleasant heat and everyone in shorts and tee-shirts.
The following day was several degrees cooler with a brisk westerly breeze bringing a mix of heavy showers and bright spells… typical blustery autumnal day with umbrellas and long sleeves back in use. It's been similar every day since.

Re: The Traitors Ireland
hopefully - he’s painful - I wouldn’t be surprised if he thinks he’s good enough to leave a secure Gardai job to pursue a social media or TV career - he’ll be severely disappointed very quickly
Re: 3yr old boy from Dublin feared dead - Garda & Tusla
Are we sure a child actually existed in this case?
Re: 3yr old boy from Dublin feared dead - Garda & Tusla
Aontú are a left-wing party, as they support large/growing public spending, and I haven't heard them calling for lower taxes. They are a split from left-wing SF.
I'm sure Aontú would agree with you that most abuse is by family members. We all know that.
