Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Muscle memory is a term that annoys the bejaysus out of me. It is a very specific thing. Your muscle memory is where your body ingrains a very specific neuromuscular pathway i.e. it triggers muscular reactions (that are in sequence) after a specific trigger (gun pun FTW). It requires constant adaptation, and takes quite a while to become finely ingrained.

It is not to be confused with practise, refinement, and adaptation. Muscle memory is completely sub conscious. An example is where prison guards in the states were trained to disarm convicts of knives/stabbing objects, and because in training they always flipped the knife around and handed it back, they did so in real life situations. It was finely ingrained, and their body just 'did'. If they had been aware, and not on auto pilot, they would have used the neuromuscular pathways, but stopped before they handed the knife back.

Muscle memory is almost a curse...you want to be fully adaptive, not autonomous. Why? You are not in control on auto-pilot, and you WILL make mistakes. You need to be aware. Practise makes permanent, especially when you're absent of thought

Have to say, in my year of using lipos - I've never had any issues or found them to be dangerous - must just be everyone else.

If you mean the one in the middle I'm pretty sure that's an M249. If you look near her left hand you can see a fore grip and a carry handle.

Actually maybe it's an M240 judging by the front sight. It's definitely not a .50cal, there's no muzzle brake and the barrel is way too thin.

They're all commission pieces though. If a customer wants something that they know is going to look ugly, and is willing to pay for it, why wouldn't you take the job.
I met the daughter, Stephanie, in Chicago. I'd never seen the show before so I'd no idea who she was at the time. Nice girl. Super chatty. I was shocked when I saw her on a YouTube clip of the show a few months later. My girlfriend found it hilarious. Apparently she knew and assumed I did too.

I always thought they missed a trick with the modernised Thompson, straightening and raising the stock. The angled stock increases muzzle climb so why not put a straight (or an MP5 style telescopic) stock that follows the line of the barrel (and higher profile sights to compensate) when you're changing everything else?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,638 ✭✭✭✭Witcher

The two AK's aren't really that bad, compared to the Thompson anyway:P

that AK master key is just..... stupid :pac: that was probbably commissioned by a fella with a huge mantion and a fleet of hummers which are all compansating for a rusty old grub screw lol :D but the sd AK looks good and it appears they fixed the Iron sight problem while they were at it

HOLY SHoneT R.I.P. John McAleese. I remember watching a documentary series about the SAS that he was in. I wanted to BE him! He made me love the SAS and that's what got me into airsoft. Damn :(

I hate all of those guns. The 1000 yard ak looks ok but isn't that stock made by Magpull? Sacreligious on a stick.

Well this looks absolutely awful, as does CS:GO. I'm hoping BF3 brings me back to BF2, but the more I see of it the more I see BF:BC2 crossed with MW2.

Don't think CS:GO looks all that bad. Quite excited actually!

Played the new MOH for the first time online yesterday. It's the worst multiplayer game I've ever played in the history of multiplayer games...ever! :pac: I was actually in shock that people could like it. It's just awful. Thankfully I got it for free, as I would have been hugely bitter if I had of paid for it.
