Laughing at all your poems here. :pac:

There is a fine lady from Cork
    Blessedly endowed of nork
Very fond of the duvet by day
At night she much prefers to play
And has captured the heart of Guy

Guy, your name should be Gay for rhyming purposes!

Mark it should be, then you could pronounce it Mork, posh like.
Limerick like that, the last line should rhyme with the first two.
    Gay, :):)

I couldn't remember which lines it should rhyme with. I'll never be poet laureate now. :(

I could have said guy would eat her with a spork

Right I'll be all poemed out for the day after this one. I am available for requests always but no more for today. I said last week that I met up with a Boardsie for food and shopping. It was the Boards member Sorry about that. It wasn't a date or owt as she is a happily married mother of two but I've done a little ditty for her too.

Last week I met Sorry about that
For coffee, food, shopping and chat
    She talked more than me
    And is very very funny
And it was good to get out of my habitat

She has a laugh like a Merseyside docker
    Which was a pleasant shocker
    She is ever so sound
In fact sound as a pound
And seems to enjoy it when I mock her

    You're very observant, Guy.
I'd be scared of a poem about me.

Worked up an appetite with a forest walk, having tea and changing into a dress and then I'll go for dinner.

    Pure drowsy

    An Ode.

There once was a Person called Guy,
Who was clever and kind, and quite shy.
    To him MMA was exciting
But with him there's no fighting,
    And so funny
    You'd laugh till you'd cry.

Poetry corner today. Tremendous stuff folks! The only time I ever strung words together was for a tune I wrote when I was 15. The words still make my toes curl with mortification! :D

Barside with my best pal :D ... only pal tonight! Was supposed to meet my buddy in town but he had to bail at the last minute. Ah well! Happy Friday guys!

Don't be afraid Babes, accept the wooing that's in your near future and be grateful I'll be too soft to do anything anyway :pac:

Thank you Soz about that. Between my poem and yours I believe we have an accurate description of our afternoon together. I promise next time I'll shut up and actually let you get a word in.

Was it one with the two side brushes and one top brush, or was it a conveyer system with lots of brushes?

Just a wee update on my incident last week also. I have purposefully avoided posting about it since but I have decided I will go back to therapy about it. Given how I reacted and the fact that it's been eating away at me since then it's clear to me I'm not as over it as I thought. On my birthday this year it will have been exactly 25 years to the date since it happened and I really don't want to spend that day and the whole week or weeks leading up to and after it being really really angry and sad. I have been researching and found a therapist that specialises in this area so I'll give them a go and see how I get on with it.

Thanks to the very wise and smart Wherer I talked with this about as well as some friends in my life even though they will never see this.

Thanks again everyone for the kind words, concern and advice. And she probably won't see this as she is off jaunting but thanks to Duvet Day for posting that post you said you would delete, I saw it. I appreciate the fact you took the time to say those things and I'm sorry you went through that. You're a better person than them now and you were then too.

I picked up a Chinese yesterday after grocery shopping and wished them the above.
Gave the Chinese waitress a chuckle.
