Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Phantom Private Messages Notification

Hi there, I've logged back into my account and see that there are notifications of two unread PMs under my profile. However when I open my PM inbox there are no unread messages. Is anyone else experiencing similar problems?

Usually occurs when a new user who has engaged in PM spamming is banned and the PMs they sent are deleted. I think the fix is to send yourself a PM, which clears the phantom notification.

As Esel has pointed out, it was probably PM notifications for messages that have since been deleted (from a spammer perhaps). If you send another PM to yourself and read it, all notifications should disappear.
