Phantom Private Messages Notification

    Hi there,

    I've logged back into my account and see that there are notifications of two unread PMs under my profile. However when I open my PM inbox there are no unread messages. Is anyone else experiencing similar problems?

    Usually occurs when a new user who has engaged in PM spamming is banned and the PMs they sent are deleted. I think the fix is to send yourself a PM, which clears the phantom notification.

    As Esel has pointed out, it was probably PM notifications for messages that have since been deleted (from a spammer perhaps). If you send another PM to yourself and read it, all notifications should disappear.
