Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Three games of football/hurling on a Sunday, fantastic stuff! Would it be a mad idea to have games at 1pm and 3pm so that two games could be shown live?... Or is that kind of thinking why I'm ~Not working in the GAA marketing department.

    That's an odd camera angle.

Anybody familiar with getting to see the GAA games when abroad?

In Germany now and looking to see the Clare game later if possible. Don’t think I can watch the rte player when over here

I bought Kerry v Dublin from GAAGo.ie while on holidays in Vegas last week. €10.80 for the game. A flawless stream and simple buying process. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Definitely worth it for peace of mind

Not sure if it’s in use for the league though. Plan to have it come championship time alright

 I bought it for a league game last week and I just checked, they have Cork v Clare available for tonight. Literally a 10 second Google would save you

The picture on TG4 is very poor, watched the Kilkenny match on Premier Sports and the quality was far superior. Tg4 do fantastic work but their technology needs upgrading.

Shoestring budget. They're doing just fine.

€40 million a year is hardly shoestring

Isn't that to run absolutely everything that's on the station though and not 40 million dedicated to sport? I think their coverage is top class considering 40 million is feck all in today's climate and the amount of gaa and rugby they show, with good analysis and highlights shows along side their own regular shows.

If its 40 million just for sport I agree it's not shoestring and am obviously wrong.

anyone know what they are showing next weekend?probably football first and deffered hurling?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,800 ✭✭✭Always_Running

    Saturday night on Eir sports

    Dublin v Mayo
    Tyrone v Monaghan

    Sunday on TG4

Galway v Kerry and two hurling games Tipperary v Kilkenny,Clare v Wexford not sure which of those 3 games gets the live slot? the other two deferred coverage.

  • Registered Users Posts: 198 ✭✭Slipperydodger

Pity that RTÉ aren't showing a game next week, I feel people were only getting used to the idea and Mayo v Dublin with a big crowd in Croke Park would be a good one to show. Do we know what RTÉ's 4th game will be yet?

    Galway v Kerry
Because the NFL has had a week off and both counties have relatively large Irish speaking populations.

It will be either Dublin v Tyrone or Kerry v Mayo on March 16th.

One a potential top of the table clash, the other a potential relegation battle.

They went with the 2 hurling games first (Tipp/KK live) with the football on at 5:15

Kerry will beat Galway handy enough so may as well go with a game with a chance of a KK backlash. Not much between KK and Tipp as it stands.

Not sure about that, in their last away game they only beat Cavan by 2 points.

    Well yeah exactly
They have only lost one game and that was away v Dublin.

    Tough away trip for Kerry.

Probably better suited to the league thread too rather than the TV one.

Dublin in Croke Park the only team that has beaten Galway in the league since March 2017 so in that time no home defeat not even v Dublin which ended in a draw and they beat Kerry in Tralee and Croke Park last year.

Kerry are much better than last year. Galway are missing 50 to 60% of their first choice 15.

As pointed out already Kerry only won by one score on their last away game. For all that Galway will be missing they could still start with up to 14 players that has started championship games for them. Comer,Burke,O Ceallaigh are their biggest loses but Kerry are missing some important players also in Clifford,O'Donoghue etc and Kerry are very much in transition after a number of retirements.

The logical prediction for that game in Tuam is a low scoring contest with no more that a few points separating the sides. A handy win for Kerry as you reckon would be a surprise.

TG4 showing the club finals on Sunday too

Fair play to TG4 for showing highlights of the NHL 2A and 2B finals. Between the RTÉ news and League Sunday you wouldn't even know the divisions existed.

TG4 surpass themselves as always with the coverage of our national sports.

Kicking off with highlights of yesterday's games at 13.00.

The club finals to follow and an hour and 20 minute Laochra Gael Colm Cooper.

Cludach thar barr gan aon dabht.

They're doing some wide angle camera thing on their website for the club finals too I think.
