Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Scotland are playing brilliantly, but coming out if that sin.bin period just two points to the better is a big missed opportunity. Especially when.you consider for how long they were in England's 22.

Couple of poor decisions there in a row.

Really nasty looking late tackle on Russell.

With all their possession and territorial advantage... Scotland will only be a whisker ahead at half time

    Faquerson having a great game.

Finn Russell is in trouble here

Kind of insane that Russell goes to the bin for that, yet the nonarms chop tackle earlier goes unnoticed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Credit to Neville spotting the trip but she was also asleep for the chop at the other end.
England always fall on the luckier side of these things.

Scotland 30 mins of absolute dominance. 10 mins of that against 14 men. 8 points.

    England attack once. 3 points.

Scotland huffing and puffing and not achieving much.

I was going to say Scotland don't immediately resort to skulldugerry and borderline cheating when England are in possession but then finn Russel did that.

That said, England are forever over the line as far as I can see and are playing within a different set of rules almost

    Instinctive me hole

    That's not instinctive in rugby

    Russell ye plonker

    That was dreadful by Russell.

Finn Russell is in the bin. Right call.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,210 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Russell cost his team.a try earlier and is now getting binned for a trip. Scotland have been so good and he's now cocked it all up.

Contrast this brilliant, aggressive, attacking rugby Scotland are playing with the gutless ball surrendering we'll have to endure from Ireland tomorrow.

We have lost to Scotland twice in the last decade while racking up a bunch of titles. They haven't won anything in that time period.

    'Gutless ball surrendering'...

    Stupid from Russell

    Beyond stupid from Russell.

I swear Finn Russell shows he’s absolutely quality and completely insane in every single Scotland game

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,594 ✭✭✭Mal-Adjusted

Fair play to England for giving a chance to players from the lower leagues...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,810 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Dallaglio and Scott Hastings seem determined to excuse Russell for that trip...

    Anyway entertaining half of rugby.

Taking 3 points in front of the England posts after England had conceded 4 penalties. It's crazy.

Jonny Gray’s picks from the base of the ruck have worked really well so far. England so committed to the blitz.

England are dreadful. Bit surprising. Great chance for scots to win this.

Baffles me why we never do this v England. They don't committ many men to the rucks.

How Itoje is still on the pitch is beyond me. A penalty machine.

That should have been an intentional knock on from Daly. He had zero chance of regathering that and just slapped it away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,810 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Another no arm chop tackle from Genge

Edit - actually on replay it was just about OK

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Should be another yellow for curry incredibly cyclical to kill the advantage.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,705 ✭✭✭The Inbetween is mine

Another pen...and there will be another yellow for England

nearly every tackle close to the knees I see in the game the last year is like that.. seen worse go frequently unpunished

even forgetting that; England were very cynical at every breakdown. Little consequence for it. It's poor refereeing for me.

Dallaglio saying he wrapped. He throw his hands out, there was no wrap. Textbook chop.
Lovely seeing penalties against Genge and Itoje.

Look like an attempted wrap to me, not his fault that the attacked spun up.

    Should be another yellow

    That should have been yellow

Another penalty from Itoje, great player but has serious discipline issues. How he's not seen yellow is beyond me

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 291 ✭✭Morathi

England have missed 26 tackles holy crap.

Wish we'd been scheduled to play them first. :pac:

Are they pumping in the piper noise or has the lad from earlier had his fill of Tennents and took it upon himself to play?

    Unreal kick there.

That could be a very bad miss at the end of this match.

    Then an insane spiral kick

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Another penalty. Next cynical one has to be a yellow.
Unless it’s Itoje then it will be the one after that.

Hasn't the ref already warned them?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,617 ✭✭✭lawrencesummers

The lack of game time for key players is really showing for England.

The Sarries players are not at the races.

    Ridiculous.
